Then an accomplice could get two things out of this:
One, if they were friends with the culprit, they could help them get away with it and frame someone else.
Two, they could assist with a murder to fulfill the conditions for the motive without getting their own hands dirty directly.
One more question, Sergeant: if there was an accomplice, would they definitely be put on the suspect list?
