Week 0

You have been threatened by the Sergeant: if nobody dies before March 31st at noon, you, along with everyone else, will forfeit your lives. The Sergeant pushed everyone away from the Lodge, judging that had been enough interaction with his guests. So what now?

Will you submit to the Sergeant’s demands? Will you resist him and wait to see what happens? He wouldn’t be capable of killing you and everyone else, right?

Only time will tell.

The next day you'll find a newspaper at the motel lounge, telling you about today’s weather forecast with 100% accuracy. Looks like you can expect to find a newspaper every day to find out the weather and any other news about the town. It even includes something branded 'THE SHARK ALERT'. Who could that be directed to?

There's also a copy of yesterday's newspaper. There's nothing about the Sergeant or about your predicament, but there is something about your arrival to the town.

Cartesio is your world for the next four days, better make the most out of your time here.

OOC Note: The current IC:OOC ratio for the days is as follows: The 29th top-level covers Monday and Tuesday, while the 30th top-level is for Wednesday and Thursday.

But, you see, that's the flaw. Even kidnapped to a different city, country - maybe world - entirely, I have all the choices. In what situation would I need to pick?

[ The second the alarm sounds, the graffiti artist in the hall is on full alert. They rush to the now-sealed office entrance, banging on the steel door. ]

[ It won't accomplish anything in the short term, but the soldier draws their pistol, in case the need arises. ]

Likewise. [ as fake as his smile. ] I know you said you were made for whatever it is you do, but you're still quite young, no?

[ matoba's been eating a lot of ice cream lately. it's almost like he's there all the time or something, haha.

["Intelligence Division" should probably imply she's some sort of spy. And yet she's just... blabbing all this like it's nothing. Does this child have an ounce of common sense...?

It was a fire intentionally started with gasoline and a cut wire. Therefore, it was quite bad. [ he won't add that he nearly fainted because. his pride. ]

[ For better or worse, Serph's not in any condition to read the subtle tells that Matoba isn't just joking. He can at least try to be playful, though his eyes are closed. ]

[ he's trying to decide if he minds or not. probably not? it's such a little thing. ]

If I was interested in the ice cream, that would be a great idea. [ Softly, because he really wishes he could eat what was in that shop. Whatever it was, even if it looked like clay to him. ]

That's a weird sort of hunger if you're practically running out of a place with food, isn't it.

Yeah, it is.

[ Food isn't supposed to be this many colors, what the hell. He's definitely staring at it for a while before he decides to just go for it and take a bite. Were his teeth always this pointy? ]

Hah, it's cold. [ Definite amusement at that as he tries to process the flavors in his mouth. Not the worst, but one bite is enough—have your neopolitan back with a nice bitemark in the waffle cone Matoba. ]

[ el melloi the second glances at millium, her serious expression actually concerning him for the first time. ]

I cannot say for certain. This may not have even been caused by one of us.

It may have begun that way, but according to some, they found a liquid trail. My guess will be some sort of gasoline.

[ he shrugs, arms crossed close to his chest. ]

We can even go as far as to assume that the short circuit was caused intentionally as well.

...That's true. Some o' the people that live here don't seem too happy, either.

But... trying to burn down an entire town just takes a special kinda crazy, from what I've seen. Even if it wasn't one of us, that's scarier than anything the rules or the Sargeant have said or done.
