Welcome to Cartesio!

You open your eyes and see the ceiling of the lodge. There is no real sensation of having slept, but you're still feeling rested. Sitting up, you can see that the building around you is in ruins. Dust and dirt dominate your environment. Around you, there are familiar people - some of them you've been with up until now, some of them you have been brutally forced to part with weeks ago. They all look alright, a little confusion aside.

From a corner of the room, you can hear the soft whirring of a machine. Upon examination, you can see that it's 3D-printing more gelatinous bodies like you've seen earlier today. Every body that is dispensed from the machine is a safe haven for another mind from the simulation, another mind to join your ranks as real people.

After you've adjusted to the new situation and left the lodge, you find yourself greeted with perfect sunshine. There's a town welcoming you, friendly and peaceful. Though it is more modern than what you are used to, there is no mistaking it.

Cartesio, Nevada, welcomes you.

You're new people, in a new world. Every chance it has to offer is open for you.

[ It's funny, being in a place you didn't like but cultivating actual good and positive memories about it, to the point where you've even landed up in a relationship...

Bakugou's actually grateful for that. In the face of so many unknowns and having memories of a life he didn't technically even live, the memories and the relationships he's made here are his own. That would always be something no one can take away from him. ]

Since literally never. Then again, if it were, nothing would ever be worth it.

[ He closes his eyes at the kiss...and he wisely doesn't even bother asking because he's sure Nine would probably get him flustered about it. ]

I wouldn't be fucking surprised. If she does, might as well go with her - knowing her she's not going to just randomly settle her ass down in a place like this either.

[ This part is easy. Being able to hold him like this and just think about how that makes him feel is easy. Knowing he may have this months from now, in another world even?

He's doing better about thinking further, but it's still seems like a dream to him for anything beyond the next few weeks. ]

Opening one of his hands and letting it glow. The light is different from when uses magic, and Bakugou can probably make out the shape that appears first before the actual dog tags appears. If he looks at it before Nine tries to truck it into Bakugou's pocket, he'll see it has Nine's name on it and maybe even a last name. ]

[ A fam can be these two maf dudes, their wife, a spy, an assassin, a child soldier, and a hero? ]

[ Nine is literally lucky he is who he is to Bakugou but that sure doesn't keep him from being grouchy at him, but still he'll scoff. The light catches his attention and - ]

If he doesn't have anywhere he wants to go--oi, what's that.

[ He'll reach out for the dog tags to see what's going on with that so he can see what Nine's last name is listed as. He's been curious to know if the other has had one after all. ]

[ Lifting his head to plant a kiss against his cheek. He knows he's lucky for a lot of reasons.

Let's get on the topic of knowing tags though cause that's not depressing. ]

Knowing Tags. We're supposed to leave them behind when we go out on missions.

[ It's listed as Al-Rashia. There's a birthday (Aqu. XIII, 825), but instead of a hometown it just says Sorcery Division. ]

[ The kiss against his cheek sates him from causing an early death for now. Joking aside, he's listening closely to that and boy that sounds bad enough. ]

So they're like some form of military tags. Why're you supposed to leave them behind? Because you'd want someone to have something that proved you existed or some shit?

[ His eyebrows furrow even more at the words he's looking at here. ]

And what the fuck's Al-Rashia?

[ He can sate him in other ways, too. ]

Yeah, pretty much. When we came back to a mission we would get them back. We'd know who died if they weren't claimed.

[ Putting his hand under Bakugou's. ]

That's Mother's last name. Officially, we're all listed as her kids.

[ Nine ]

You're obviously not dying again anytime soon. If you do, I'll kill you. Got it?

[ Because of course that makes sense - when the other blond's hand moves under his, he grabs a hold of it anyway. ]

Maybe you should be prepared to change it. Could be that you'd end up with mine someday.

[ That sort of thing just slipped right out without Bakugou really thinking about it and out of a sense of pride (he'll be embarrassed once it settles, though.) Also he kind of really hates Nine's Mother but that's neither here nor there. ]

[ People die when they are killed Bakugou. Nine grins a bit. ]

I have no plans on dying anytime soon. Whatever the hell mess I get into, you'll be there to save me, right?

[ Since Bakugou is the hero and all. Nuzzling against him, and then pausing at the words Bakugou is saying because whoa. He smiles then. ]

Hey, are you trying to propose to me?

[ Um no sounds fake!! ]

Yeah I will. And then I'll also kick your ass immediately afterwards for getting into it.

[ Tough love, and so it goes. He can't really do much from his position, but maybe that's why he was so content not to move from his spot at all.

There's also a kind of long pause on his end when Nine's words catch up with him, and his own realization as to why he said/implied doing so. Now his face starts to color an obvious red. ]

...Hah? When did I say anything like that?

I wouldn't expect anything else, yo.

[ He can't really see all of his face from here, but he does catches the color change. Snagging the dog tags from his hand and then letting him go. Just going to try to turn him around. ]

Who said you could be cute, Katsuki.

[ There's that fondness in his voice that's saved only for him. If he lets him, he's going to put the knowing tag around his neck, and then he'll lean in to brush his lips against his boyfriend's. ]

Good.

[ When he's turned around, especially since Bakugou allowed it (find it romantic, shut up), his red eyes stare up into Nine's, the flush more evident on his face now that he's facing his boyfriend. Before he can say anything to those words that bring a tingle of happiness that he'd deny ever feeling, those lips are against his and he's returning the kiss softly and gently.

His hands also go to wrap around the other blond's waist, in full knowledge that the knowing tag is around his neck. Then he'll pull back for a moment. ]

You know now I'm going to have to get some shitty tags with my name on them to make you wear, right?

[ Pressing their foreheads together as he laughs softly. It's not that the idea is funny, but everything feels kind of bubbly warm and fluttery inside. Rubbing his nose against his, already forgetting where they are. As far as he's concerned, it's just them and screw everything else for now.

He did just give Bakugou what was the physical proof of his existence. ]

Until you can give it to me for real?

[ This might be the new thing for him to tease about. Whoops. Bringing his hand up to lightly caress his cheek. That moment when you're kind of struck with thee whole how much you really care about someone. ]

I'm all yours, baby.

[~~also he can think of another way for bakugou to mark him~~ ]

[ That was the cutest laugh he's ever had the pleasure of hearing, damnit. Sending butterflies down into his stomach, how dare you Nine. Bakugou is also the type of person now to give less of a shit about what anyone else thinks of him and Nine together. If anyone speaks up about what they're doing he'd probably find a way to make it ten times more obnoxious... ]

Yeah...idiot.

[ Looks like that blush is never going away now, and he'll lean his head into that gentle hand of Nine's. ]

Wouldn't have it any other way. Just remember I'm yours too.
