Week 3: Investigation

This week's cloudy, dreary weather culminates in a thunderstorm, lasting most of the previous night. That means when you awake this morning, the town is damp and dark. It's not just the weather that gives off an oppressive feeling, though. The air, it's heavy.

The Sergeant told you, after all. This is your last day to prevent your deepest, darkest secrets from being revealed.

There's no immediate evidence that anyone's followed his orders, though. Maybe you'll get through this week without anymore unnecessary death.

Or, maybe not. Maybe you should take a look around town, just to be sure.

[Franciscus pokes his head out of his room, looking wary as he leaves. Gerard is still here as well, walking beside him, his feathers looking a bit bedraggled. Together, they end up heading towards the diner.]

[ You and your ancient bird will have no problems in the diner. Just a normal morning, this is. ]

[Well, he'll buy them some breakfast they can eat on the go, and then head towards the park to see if anything's gone down there.]

[ Nothing in the park but kids splashing in puddles. ]
