Week 3: Investigation

This week's cloudy, dreary weather culminates in a thunderstorm, lasting most of the previous night. That means when you awake this morning, the town is damp and dark. It's not just the weather that gives off an oppressive feeling, though. The air, it's heavy.

The Sergeant told you, after all. This is your last day to prevent your deepest, darkest secrets from being revealed.

There's no immediate evidence that anyone's followed his orders, though. Maybe you'll get through this week without anymore unnecessary death.

Or, maybe not. Maybe you should take a look around town, just to be sure.

[Well. That gives them more of an order of events, then. Franciscus strolls around to the opposite side of the bloodstain, just to try and get an idea of where whoever pushed him or made him fall might have been standing.]

[ It's a little hard to tell, honestly, but based on how he was positioned, it looks like the person would've been back to the entrance. ]

[If he looks around this spot, can he find any footprints, or other signs of someone having been here?]

[ Not really? It's worth noting, in here and in the main sanctuary, there's mud all over the floor. The amount of it makes it hard to tell just who moved where. ]

[Presumably if he sticks his head out the hole, he'll notice the ground in the graveyard has also been disturbed?]

[ It has! Though, if you're going to investigate there, we should move accordingly. ]
