Week 3: Investigation

This week's cloudy, dreary weather culminates in a thunderstorm, lasting most of the previous night. That means when you awake this morning, the town is damp and dark. It's not just the weather that gives off an oppressive feeling, though. The air, it's heavy.

The Sergeant told you, after all. This is your last day to prevent your deepest, darkest secrets from being revealed.

There's no immediate evidence that anyone's followed his orders, though. Maybe you'll get through this week without anymore unnecessary death.

Or, maybe not. Maybe you should take a look around town, just to be sure.

[ If you've been staring into the chapel this whole time, you might be able to notice something no one else has! Something small on the floor, by some of the remains of the pews... ]

[ah, really! time to investigate! he steps closer to the area, crouches down to get a better look. what is this small thing?]

[ It's...crushed pulp from an orange? While the rest of the chapel smells only like destruction, this little spot smells like destruction...and citrus. ]

[how... fresh? actually, is it pretty fresh? does this belong in a church? he reaches into his pocket and finds some tissues. then he’ll try to pick up the pulp, if it can be removed. just in case. anything else weird around here?]
