Week 3: Trial

April 20th. It was now time for the trial.

When everyone arrives at the trial room, the tribunes are already filled with townspeople. Compared to last week, there's less morbid curiosity and more quiet outrage. Everyone's glaring at the visitors while they enter the courtroom.

The number of podiums draped in black has increased dramatically. Nine's, Mako's, Sandalphon's, and Bakugou's have joined Moloch's, raising the number to five. That's one sixth of the available podiums. How many more will be covered in black velvet before these two months end?

Once everyone is at the right podium, the Sergeant bangs his gavel. He doesn't seem to be in better mood than before.

"Today the victim is Katsuki Bakugou. Solve it."

Without even bothering to taunt or be as antagonistic as usual, he waves the gavel. Five small photos appear on the podiums.

            

"When it's time, you shall cast your vote. Write it on paper or put the photo inside the slot, I don't really care about how you do it. What matters is that you actually do it. Start your discussion."

The trial room went completely silent, all the visitors can feel the attentive stares of the townspeople gathered to watch. It's up to them now to find the culprit.

Let the trial begin.

[ There is a deep sigh from the Sergeant and a nod. He's not gracing this with words anymore. At a hand gesture from him, the bailiffs come in with two screens to protect the innocent eyes of Cartesio's citizens and maybe also the delicate sensibilities of the stripping suspects. ]

[KINO MIGHT AS WELL IF HE DOESN'T PROTEST IT. Can we get a look and a whiff of your hands/fingernails while we're at it?]

[Still thinks Kino's a dude. Wouldn't care much if Knew the truth, so Kino it is!! She's getting a dirty ass look though when that request to sniff his freaking hands happens cuz uh... weird. So weird.

Hands smell about as clean as you'd expect them to for being in mildly sweaty armor and his fingernails are clean. No funny business here!

[Nope. No citrus here!

Oh but look, Keith's trying to "help" you now.]

Not gonna smell my feet too?

[Is he helping/teasing/being a jerk on purpose, who knows. But he does mean that he is not doing this again so might as well not give anyone a reason to force him to do it again????]

Kino now looks rather unenthusiastic, but.]

But hey, his feet are... clean?! And not citrus-y. Just more of that armor smell. Don't breathe it in.]

Leaving him to get dressed again, Kino will leave the screened area.]
