[ well, that was definitely A Trial.

however, oda understands that everyone must be feeling a little heavy, considering the death of someone like jughead and whatever bullshit dazai said earlier.

so, at everyone's door is a note that says the following:

If you don't want to be alone, come to the diner.

There's food.

oda himself is at the diner, although there's no food on his table, nor is he being a very good host of a party. he's just sitting alone at a table next to a window, staring out of it in deep thought. ]

[Just like the last week, Natalie is nowhere to be found at the diner despite the invitation she finds on her door.

Instead, a while after the trial concludes, she can be found in the cinema. It doesn't look as though she's interested in watching anything, though; instead, she's staring at the arrow shot through the screen, trying her best to keep her expression neutral.

Should she notice anyone else in there:]

...Can you help me get it out? I don't want to tear the material.

[ looks up at it ]

Sure, as long as you're not planning on doing anything stupid with it.

Yes, I'm going to immediately stab someone with it. You got me.

[She sighs, shaking her head.]

I'm not going to do anything stupid with it.

[ Kinzie shrugs. ]

You got a plan to get it down?

[robitussin]

[She shakes her head.]

No, not really. I'm not, like, an expert in arrow extraction.

[goturshit]

Neither am I, but I know a thing or two about engineering. We need a way up there, and to be careful we pull it out the way it went in.

[ She frowns. ]

Or maybe we can just cut the shaft off? Leave the head in there behind the screen.

...Whatever would be easier, I guess.

[She glances back toward the arrow, crossing her arms.]

I'm guessing the second option would be?

Well, the trouble is that arrows are meant to do damage both going in and coming out. The good ones, anyway. And going by who left that there, it's probably one of those.

...I hadn't thought about it that way.

But if we cut off the shaft, it won't cause damage coming out, right? Or at least, not as much.

Yeah, exactly. And if we're lucky, the whole head is stuck in the wall and it'll just poof behind the screen, as far as anyone's concerned.
