Week 7: Trial

When everyone arrives at the trial room, the tribunes are already filled with townspeople. Until now, the public had been so angry, waiting to see what the outsiders would do. Now they're calmer. Not indifferent, just waiting to see what will happen.

There are so few of you left. So few people, surrounded by a town that once hated you, and now don't know what to think. Will this trial change their opinions of you again?

Maybe that doesn't matter. You're here to solve a murder, after all.

"Today the victim is Kinzie Kensington. This may be the last chance any of you get the chance to earn a medal. Let's see if this culprit gets away with it successfully."

You receive your list of suspects. Five small photos appear on the podiums.

            

"When it's time, you shall cast your vote. It has been a while since there was one culprit."

The trial room went completely silent, all the visitors can feel the attentive stares of the townspeople gathered to watch. It's up to them now to find the culprit.

Let the trial begin.

[there's more he wants to ask, like about the knife, but Osomatsu is having a hard time getting a grip. this week has been awful for him, and now someone's going to be held responsible for an accident. when Bolin was only trying to rescue the hostages.

he finally scrubs at his eyes, takes a deep breath, and lifts his head again]

I'm not voting for you. [what happens if they don't vote?]

Because! It was an accident. We're supposed to vote for justice, or some shit.

[besides, he doesn't want Bolin to be executed when he tried to save the hostages for all of them...]

[they could go around in circles with this all day]

You're not a murderer! [other people will probably vote for Bolin, but he's not going to vote for anyone. it probably won't even matter in the end]

But I am! I executed Dabi and now I killed Kinzie!

[ah. he wants to argue that those are entirely different things, and Kinzie was an accident. but... whatever. he just hangs his head again. he's made enough of a spectacle of himself at trial today.

he will, however, not be picking up the paper to vote, still]
