Week 7: Trial

When everyone arrives at the trial room, the tribunes are already filled with townspeople. Until now, the public had been so angry, waiting to see what the outsiders would do. Now they're calmer. Not indifferent, just waiting to see what will happen.

There are so few of you left. So few people, surrounded by a town that once hated you, and now don't know what to think. Will this trial change their opinions of you again?

Maybe that doesn't matter. You're here to solve a murder, after all.

"Today the victim is Kinzie Kensington. This may be the last chance any of you get the chance to earn a medal. Let's see if this culprit gets away with it successfully."

You receive your list of suspects. Five small photos appear on the podiums.

            

"When it's time, you shall cast your vote. It has been a while since there was one culprit."

The trial room went completely silent, all the visitors can feel the attentive stares of the townspeople gathered to watch. It's up to them now to find the culprit.

Let the trial begin.

and just. accepts his fate ]

Fine. Alright.

[She glances at the suspect list, and... just gives a sigh.]

Figures it'd happen at least once, I guess.

[Even if she sounds less than pleased.]

Okay, ask whatever, I guess.

[geez! why is he on the suspects list? no one's suspected him of murder for a month and a half. no one's looked at him funny, or punched him, or insulted him. at least, not any of the visitors. it's been so different from being back at home.

Osomatsu looks like he might explode into a yelling tirade for a moment, but then he sighs and crosses his arms.

he's tired, more tired than angry. because this week has been draining him]

... Screw it. I'm not doing this again, you all know I have no reason to be attached to anyone enough to care whether or not they end up living in this dump. Besides, I already have a medal. This is stupid.

I found footprints, and while I don't think I can compare them to the ones I found in the park, I think we could at least see who has smaller feet that wouldn't work? [ an Attempt is going to be made anyway ]

[ bolin keeps hearing all this talking around him, about who to vote for and he’s had enough of it ]

I’m sorry that it came to this, but I’m not going to sit by and let someone else die because of me! Kinzie’s already dead because of my screw up and that’s one too many already.

If you’re going to vote for someone, please... I’m begging you, vote for me. Everyone left here has stuff to offer, nobody is useless. You’re all great people— probably better than me.
