Week 7: Trial

When everyone arrives at the trial room, the tribunes are already filled with townspeople. Until now, the public had been so angry, waiting to see what the outsiders would do. Now they're calmer. Not indifferent, just waiting to see what will happen.

There are so few of you left. So few people, surrounded by a town that once hated you, and now don't know what to think. Will this trial change their opinions of you again?

Maybe that doesn't matter. You're here to solve a murder, after all.

"Today the victim is Kinzie Kensington. This may be the last chance any of you get the chance to earn a medal. Let's see if this culprit gets away with it successfully."

You receive your list of suspects. Five small photos appear on the podiums.

            

"When it's time, you shall cast your vote. It has been a while since there was one culprit."

The trial room went completely silent, all the visitors can feel the attentive stares of the townspeople gathered to watch. It's up to them now to find the culprit.

Let the trial begin.

[She doesn't hesitate long before heading her way.]

[oh. hm. his throat is dry. he can't believe people are actually voting! why?]

...Who are you voting for, Natalie?

[his hand hovers over his paper and pen. he'll do what she says, probably. even if it isn't fair]

[She looks towards the ground, pausing. She doesn't like it, either, but...]

Bolin. I'm... sorry.

[relieable]

[expected... he turns to give Bolin a sad look. he said he wouldn't vote for him. but he can't vote for Keith either] I'm sorry. [that's twice he's apologized this week. but he can't bring himself to vote for someone else]

[clearities]

Sorry. I really don't think that this is honestly fair, and everyone-- [ she glances at the audience ] They aren't doing anything to stop this, either. Or rather, I guess they can't. [ it really, really sucks ]

[robitussin]

You don't have to apologize.

[But once she's there... If Sakura doesn't object, she'll put Bolin's name into the slot in her podium.]

[clearities]

Mmm. [ and she doesn't object, thankfully. ] We're going to save them, right? All of them?

[robitussin]

...Yeah. Of course we are.

[She wishes she were more certain of that, but... She tries to sound like it, at least, for Sakura.]
