With the weekend's latest tragedy, a strange mood has descended over Cartesio. What happened was unprecedented, and perhaps that's why the already decreasing hostility from the townsfolk comes to a complete halt. Could it be the strange circumstances? Bolin's desperate plea? Last week's peaceful Wednesday? Some combination? Whatever the reason, it's clear that the Sergeant's iron fist around the town has loosened. While the residents aren't jumping to interact with you, there's no graffiti, no new broken windows.
Cartesio is confused...but open to explanation, for perhaps the first time.
Still, while the town seems amiable, almost accepting again, there's little to chase away the knowledge that the Sergeant's tasks for you are near their end, and that means those without medals are doomed to their fate.
Or does it? After everything that's turned around, is it possible for you to claw your way out of here as well?

[Today Keith will be approaching any visitor he spots hanging around with a video camera from the records store. Looks like it's time for an idea.]
Making a video. There anything you want to say to the ghosts? Can't use words or sound, but I'm sure you can think of something else.
Millium's room - afternoon
[He's in here with the Marmora dagger, carving in another message on the wall Kino style.
GOT IT.
TUES. 5PM. BAK'S RM.]
around town
Um... drawing would work, right? I don't know if I'd be too good at charades.
[ that sounds hard. ]
no subject
Not sure about drawing. When the dead were on the TV, it looked like whatever they had on paper was getting blocked by interference. It mightve just been words on their end, but they might've tried drawing something.
Give both a try, maybe?
no subject
Mm... I don't think I have much to say, but hopefully I can get something that they can see. As thanks for the message they gave me yesterday.

[He's curious, but he's not necessarily going to prod if it seems more personal than relevant to the group as a whole.]
no subject
It was really nice.
no subject
[Yeah, good to know they can do that for some people instead of going around building freaking statues. He's not bitter or anything, really.
He'll raise the camera.]
They might just be happy to see your face, really.
no subject
[ she laughs a little bitterly, however ]
I'm still worried about them, but I want to hope that we'll be able to save them. All of them.
[ once the bitterness is gone, however, she manages to smile a little more genuinely, more brightly, waving her hands in an obvious manner to say hello ]
no subject
Don't hope. Think about what you can do to make it happen cuz we're going to save them.
[And that's stated firmly. Keith's no good at optimism, but he is rather good at being bullheaded. His tone softens a little.]
You could try talking a little slower. They might be able to lip read.
no subject
[ hearing those words encourages her; enough that she finds herself looking a little more determined, doing a small little fistpump. ]
I mean, I just wanted to say hi to everyone-- [ although lipreading, huh? that would be nice. ] Oh! There is one more thing I could show them, since I promised Franciscus-san that I'd show him my magic... but maybe that could wait until we bring them all back, ahaha.
Around town
[There's an interesting idea. She thinks on it for a moment before nodding.]
Yeah. We can try something.
no subject
[A beat.]
Know what you wanna pass on?
no subject
I think I've got something in mind.
no subject
[Which is stated a little flatly and accompanied with a shrug. He'll steady the camera for her then.]
Go for it.
no subject
Thanks for the loot.]
around town
So, like... Charades?
no subject
You could try that.
no subject
Would you suggest something else, or...?
no subject
My suggestion is trying anything that comes to mind that counts as non verbal and non written communication. Charades sounds fine.
no subject
...What is it?
no subject
Can I even trust you to answer the question in full if I asked?
[His voice is low, but the framing of the question certainly betrays some of how he's feeling.]
no subject
What question?
no subject
Why are you making deals to keep the Sergeant from talking about certain subjects?
no subject
...Because that was weeks ago before I, like, trusted any of you.
no subject
Are you going to tell me what exactly you banned him from talking about or...?
