March 31st - NOON
Week 0 - Epilogue
The day is bright, last night’s events seem like a bad dream. If it wasn’t for Lovepon and Mira’s absence, it’d seem like none of that ever happened.
But it did. The police agents milling around in the park and processing the crime scene are proof none of that was a dream or a hallucination. Twenty-two people were brought to Cartesio, and now there are twenty alive.
You’re alive right now and that’s what matters.
Looks like there won’t be any answers about why you’re here, or about how you got here. It’s not satisfying, but the Sergeant wasn’t forthcoming about anything. All there’s left to hope is that there won’t be any last minute surprises to be sprung up on you, and that in any moment the Sergeant comes out of the police station to tell you how you’ll be taken back home.
What’s taking him so long? Who knows. Why not to talk with your fellow participants one last time? It seems all the places you could go into are open right now and willing to give you service. Cartesio is your oyster right now. Go ahead!

END OF THE WEEK
Everyone! Come right here!
[True, the four days are over, and it’s past noon by now. The Sergeant shouldn’t have any authority over you now. Still, this is the man who has you confined to Cartesio. Just for that reason, going to see him may be necessary]
First, thank you for fulfilling my expectations. I again would like to remark you were invaluable.
[He stops. For a moment he just looks at all of you, expression hidden behind the shifting shadows on his face, and lets the megaphone down]
You all are so anxious to return home...this is a complicated matter, to be frank with you. It’s not as simple as putting you on a vehicle and sending you home.
[...]
I hid a lot of information from you all, for a variety of reasons. Honestly at this point you shouldn’t be surprised. I did it to encourage a murder, and now I admit I hid more from you. Not much anyone can do about it, that’s simply how life is. Life is unfair.
[Even though his word choice sounds almost apologetic, his voice doesn’t sound sorry at all. Suddenly you feel an electric shock to the back of your neck. It forces you to drop on your knees, still conscious enough to hear him]
Those of you who aren’t chosen...well, you will wake up home. It may not be what you expect, but it will be home.
[Something about the way he says ‘home’ is strange. There’s barely time to think what exactly he means by that, you only hear a few words more before you fall unconscious]
Those who will continue on and receive true liberation…
...I’ll see you at the bottom of the rabbit hole, okay?
