WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

Looks like we've got a case of arson on our hands. Cartesio electronics went down in flames.

[And, judging by just how evertyhing looks...]

It's been empty for a while, too.

Huh. That's weird, yo. I mean, it's down the street from the fire house, right?

[ A block over and down the street, but close enough. He's looking around. ]

I mean, it shouldn't be this bad.

That answers the question of whether they knew or not.

[Presumably, you don’t miss a building-engulfing fire just a block down the road. Someone would alert them.]

So, do you think they cared?

[linearcrash]

Probably not. It is abandoned, hey.

[ Though something else kind of pops in his head ]

That short girl did mention there was a fire where the response was delayed.

Put two and two together, you get one crime scene.

[Though with this town, it's probably just an 'accident'. He looks over to the metal doors that block anyone advancing through the building.]

This look shady to you?

[ He can agree to that. No problemo. ]

Huh? Yeah, that's definitely shady. [ More so than Keith's personal arsenal ] Why the hell would a store need heavy ass doors?

Makes you wonder what's on the other side, doesn't it?

[ If only he had his weapon. ]

I could see about hitting with something, yo. But I can only use magic once a day.

[ It's tempting even if it winds up failing ]

Not sure. It's weird as hell, but pretty sure that bastard did it.
