WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

Ah, so it was not optional after all. I think I understand the meaning of the colors now.

The machine shakes, and the light turns off. The noise of objects falling through the chute at the bottom of the popcorn machine fills the lobby, all the popcorn inside falling to the feet of everyone, until, with a clink, an ancient key falls as well.

Careful when grabbing that. It's piping hot and covered with butter]

[ Grabbing it and then cursing. ]

Oh shit! That's hot!

I didn't think. [ Which is normal. ] I think there was a lock door back that way.

[Someone needs a babysitter, maybe.]

Okay, time to go back to that locked door to try the key out? ]

OBSTACLE

[The ancient-looking padlock is opened with the ancient key. Pretty easy, all things considered.

The stairs into the basement warehouse are rather dark, almost pitch black. However, it seems to be one long hallway, flanked by shelves with many boxes, and in the end, attached high on the wall, is your objective. The neon sign is the only light in this warehouse, shining blue and green on the back wall

But it's way too high to reach just by standing there. Not only that, it also is nailed to the wall. You'll have not only reach it, but also rip it off somehow.

How the hell did you even figure out what to push? [majorly impressed here, popcorn man]

After the mesh was applied, it divided the display into segments. The solution was simply to count the number of pieces of popcorn in the adjacent segments for each color, without counting any inside the colored segment. The yellow light represented the key, as it is golden in color.
