WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

[Olympia waits a second to see if by some chance the door will fall the rest of the way now. If it doesn't, she goes and punches it really hard.]

[It doesn't fall. However, Clarisse's next kick and Olympia's punch do the work rather well. The kick dislodges it from its rightful place, and the punch shatters it before it can even touch the street. The shards fall to the asphalt, causing a a lot of noise resonating in middle of the night -- even those down in the warehouse must have heard it.

Better run away!]

[ SCREAMS ] What was that?!

What the hell???

[ And then he realizes it's time to HAUL ASS. Snagging her hand.]

Come on! Let's go before we're caught!

[clearities]

Eh? [ She is so confused right now. ] Eeeeeh?! [ Are. Are they in trouble. Nevertheless, she's definitely not going to argue as her hand is taken. Let's just. Get out of here. ]

[ He has no idea but he doesn't want to find out. Booking it out of there. Also... she better navigate as soon as they are clear cause he's probably going to get lost ]

[Olympia throws something at her as she goes.

It seems to be the cover of a copy of the guestbook.]

[entirely too busy fucking running to do anything about projectiles but get out of their way

[She (presumably) has the sign and is booking it as soon as she hears that. Bye fellow human pyramid members!!]

[Take the sign to the lodge or to the motel -- your choice! -- and the task will be finished!]

[Millium sighs, then grasps her bucket of popcorn to her chest with both arms and cradles it protectively as she dashes for the exit. BYE GUYS, IT'S BEEN FUN, but if anyone's going to prison tonight it ain't her]

[Did she enjoy her time in the air earlier? Because Olympia takes a second to compare the relative lengths of their legs, then scoops her up again on her way out.]

[Time to quickly readjust the position of her popcorn bucket!]

Heeeey, warn a girl before you go grabbing her! You and Wayne both, I swear...!

There wasn't time.

[It's fine, she's being careful! No sense in wasting perfectly good popcorn. Even if she never actually touched hers.]

[Well... she doesn't have a good argument there.

And now she doesn't have to worry about running, so...

[Strolling away very quickly while trying to look casual. He grabs a napkin to wipe off his shoes at least, so he doesn't leave greasy footprints everywhere.]

Kino will shoot a couple experimental shots at the sign to see if it'll fall, but barring that, it's probably time to nyoom.]
