WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

[Kinzie's pretty cool, actually, so far as Clarisse is concerned; she can stay. Clarisse doesn't pause target practice or look away as she speaks.]

Sarge left my bow for me after the errand he thinks we did for him. My bow, not the garbage I've been shooting with the past week.

Well, you definitely know how to use it. I assume you've been shooting for a while.

Soon as I could hold an arrow, I was shooting 'em. [this...isn't much of an exaggeration, actually......] You're definitely not gonna find a better archer than me around here.

If there is, I definitely haven't seen one. You'd give Rama a run for her money in the archery department.

I don't recognize that name, but I don't doubt I could upstage her, too.

I mean she is from my universe. If you did, we'd have to... talk about it, or something. Anyway, why the interest in archery? You seem more like a sword person.

[clarisse has never met this rama person and she is already completely assured that she could take her on easy]

Sounds like a pain. [talking about things, she means...... thunk goes yet another arrow into the target.] Do I? What gives you that idea?

[ shrugs ]

The anger, mostly.

[snideper]

Heh. [She shrugs one shoulder, fires off another arrow. The comment just amuses her, if anything.] Too personal. A target gets to watch what's coming with a sword; get an arrow right, and they die confused and afraid.

Not a "I want them to know who killed them" type. I can respect that. Saves you the trouble of a big fight, at least.

Don't misunderstand, I can hold my own if it comes down to it just fine. But I'm an assassin. The point is to get the job done so you can move on to the next one.

No, trust me, I get it, I know a couple assassins back home. You get the job done, one way or another. I guess this is where someone would usually comment on your age, but that would make me the biggest hypocrite ever, so I won't.
