WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

[ Her expression drops a little bit and she seems to look a little down because of it. But she tries her best to smile. ]

It's kind of sad, isn't it-- but we shouldn't let that get us down! Let's eat!

You're right! [the food shouldn't take too long to cook. it's just appetizers]

Can you tell me a little more about this... magic stuff, you do?

[clearities]

Huh?

[ She doesn't mind, but it's definitely surprising... ]

Well, I normally have a staff and cards... ah-- I actually found one in my room today!

[ And she takes out the card that she received from her pocket, revealing it to him. ]

I can't use it without my staff, though.

[relieable]

[he blinks, looking down at the card]

"Record?"

[clearities]

Mmhm. I can use it to record the things around me and project it... and I can also record past events and project that, too.

[relieable]

[whoa!]

Th-that sounds pretty useful!

[clearities]

You think so?

[relieable]

Of course! I bet you could use it to, like, record precious memories... or incriminating evidence!

[clearities]

... [ That actually gives her an idea. ] Do you think that if I could get my staff back... I could show the police what happened? I don't know how they'd feel about magic, though.

[relieable]

[ah... his eyes widen a fraction]

I dunno, either. But it'd be worth a shot.

[clearities]

I guess it's worth a shot, isn't it?

[relieable]

[he really just wants to see her use magic, because he's selfish like that. but if it could help too...]

Yeah!

[and here comes their food. delicious appetizers, from an unfriendly waiter, but that's fine]

[clearities]

Ahh, this really looks good! [ She seems excited in spite of the waiter not being as kind. ]

[relieable]

Sure does! Dig in! [itadakimasu, and all that! let's just hope that no one poisoned their food]

[clearities]

and she's definitely going to dig in after giving her graces and thankfully the food's still pretty decent. ]
