Week 2 - after trial

[everyone is probably more than a little stunned over what has been going on. while it is true that the Sergeant told them all this would happen, it's different to have to witness it with one's own eyes. while Nine is led away, and the townspeople leave the court, it is up to the visitors to decide how to move forward. do they talk among themselves? do they reflect on the events that took place alone? one thing that is certain is that the Sergeant got his way this week. will he continue to force them to keep picking each other off in the weeks that come? only time will tell.

this isn't really an after party. it's too sad, but perhaps many people will take comfort in the fact that they are not alone. either mingle at the motel, or somewhere else in town, or even visit Nine in his cell. it's up to you as to how you will spend the rest of this afternoon]

Our? Like, are you part of a group?

Indeed. [That actually makes his face light up for a moment as he starts talking about them.] Shaun is our scientist, though he's most talented at chemistry. But he has a good handle on most electronics as well. He also stays in the back most of the time, since his devices allow him to fight from range. He's made both Pester Balls that deliver various debilitating chemicals, as well as a launcher to propel them from even further than they can normally be thrown. Jimmy is our scout as well as our main frontline fighter, though his speed allows him to get in and out of combat fairly easily. Liam may be young, but he is a most talented telepath and telekinetic. He's helped calm many an angry Pokemon simply by understanding their minds.

[pester balls... telepath... pokémon...

Osomatsu nods, but he doesn't understand]

So then, what do you do?

Me? Well, as I mentioned, I'm the tactician in combat, and outside of it I am the face of our team. It's surprising how many doors open when you're charming enough.

[ah. Osomatsu snorts out a laugh, not because he doesn't believe Franciscus, but because he does]

That seems like you, I guess.

[Franciscus grins at the agreement.] I'm glad to hear you think so.

[Franciscus is fun, at least, charming in his own right]

So even you have fights back in your world, huh? [a light sigh as he looks up at the ceiling] I used to get into fights as a teenager, but it's not like I've had to fight people to defend my life, or honor, or something like that. I dunno what I'd do if someone like Nine came after me.

Indeed. Pokemon are naturally combative creatures, after all. But it seems most animals in other worlds are not so inclined. [There's a pause as he looks Osomatsu over.] The best thing for you to do would likely be to head towards the hotel and call for help. That would likely get the killer to back off, since they would not wish to be caught.

[Pokémon seem interesting! maybe Osomatsu will have to ask more about that later]

You're probably right. [as long as he wasn't immobilized somehow, that would work. even just shouting out could help] It's still scary to think about, though.

[A nod.] That's understandable. You may want to simply stay in your room at night.

That's what Nacchan said... That I should stay in my room. I guess that's the best thing to do. It just seems like it'd be so boring.

[silvertongueheir]

Well, you're not the only one who'd prefer to stay in. Perhaps you could find someone to stay overnight. [He would probably be saying this more flirtatiously if a man hadn't just died.]

What, you mean like a sleepover?

Pretty much. You'd probably want to barricade the door as well.

That's not a bad idea. And, hey, it's probably better to stay in pairs, or groups, anyway.

Groups would probably be safer. Though there are a few people here I'm sure wouldn't kill at all.

Right. [like Sakura... he's on the fence about Millium, though] I don't think Cian has it in her.

[silvertongueheir]

[A nod.] And definitely not Sakura. [The day she shows up on the suspect list is the day everyone rebels, probably.]

[they are on the same page, at least. Osomatsu nods, folding his hands]

...Though, I guess it won't do us any good to speculate on who is, or who isn't a murderer. [like, Nine seemed like the least likely to kill someone!]

True. [He nods.] In the end, it's all your own decision on whom to trust.

[that just makes it sound like someone could shift the blame to someone else. ah well. he leans back in his seat]

It's stupid that we have t'be on guard like this. When I was back at home, I never had t'worry if someone was gonna kill me.

[silvertongueheir]

[He probably shouldn't mention the probability of someone being murdered even in a supposedly peaceful, quiet town.]

That sounds nice. I've never had the luxury of not worrying. [Because even as a kid he always had bodyguards, human or Pokemon, looking out for him, and thus the knowledge he could be in danger.]

Oh, really? You always seemed pretty relaxed, to me.

[silvertongueheir]

[He chuckles a bit.] People are more willing to write you off when you seem more relaxed. Looking too tense just invites trouble.

[this guy... he's not wrong, at least. Osomatsu tries to always look relaxed and happy, too]

Well, you do a good job at it, at least. [a light smirk. despite the circumstances, it's nice to talk to someone]
