Week 2 - after trial

[everyone is probably more than a little stunned over what has been going on. while it is true that the Sergeant told them all this would happen, it's different to have to witness it with one's own eyes. while Nine is led away, and the townspeople leave the court, it is up to the visitors to decide how to move forward. do they talk among themselves? do they reflect on the events that took place alone? one thing that is certain is that the Sergeant got his way this week. will he continue to force them to keep picking each other off in the weeks that come? only time will tell.

this isn't really an after party. it's too sad, but perhaps many people will take comfort in the fact that they are not alone. either mingle at the motel, or somewhere else in town, or even visit Nine in his cell. it's up to you as to how you will spend the rest of this afternoon]

[Clarisse puts up with this for a surprisingly long few minutes, though with each gunshot, she tenses, though her aim remains steady. Eventually she runs out of ammunition, though, and while a normal person would go "hey, could you please stop shooting for a minute so I can go collect my arrows," you're stuck with Clarisse instead.]

Ugh, why the hell is that thing so loud?!

[He does periodically stop between reloads. But he practicing the whole keep shooting without messing up his aim thing. The reload does force him to stop.]

Because...[How to explain?] It makes a little explosion to throw things? I'd get something to quieten it down. But I don't think they'd have one, and it'd make us look worse than we already do.

[How well she actually understands the explanation remains up for debate, but that comment gets a snort of laughter out of her. Is this a good thing......]

If you're gonna act in a way that makes people decide you're suspicious, no point in half-assing it.

You're gonna say it's too late for that right? Probably is... But that's stuff they'd only sell to the military so this place wouldn't have it anyway. Don't exactly need it for animal hunting.

I'm saying if people decide you're suspicious, then you're suspicious. That's it. Don't waste effort on things like making it better or worse; there isn't any point.

That thing seems like a pain either way, though. All the effort putting it into place, and the noise.

I'd say there's more of a scale to it. If there's multiple suspicious it matters more. And I'm pretty used to not being noticed.

It's not that bad... Just there's an echo in this place.

All the noise, the assembly you keep having to do... [reloading. she means reloading.] Just looks like more trouble than it's worth.

...You know. I think you're right about that. [As long as she's okay with that. Cause he wasn't going to mention it.] Don't believe they're giving us a list of people who might've done it. Hope you don't end up on it. It'd be a riot.

It works out in a fight, if you prep it first... I guess it's sorta like your bow only a lot smaller.

[having a sentiment even vaguely approaching "you being in danger would be less than ideal" expressed even as a joke makes her deeply uncomfortable so she is going to JOKE ABOUT IT]

Guess I can see it. Still seems like more noise and movement than it's worth.

Think of it this way, you gotta move to get a new arrow when you shoot. I've got six shots before I need to do that... Unless you can hold multiple arrows?
