WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[Hawks was currently sitting cross legged on the edge of the diner roof, seemingly casual. His arms went from crossed to holding his ankles as he leaned forward over the edge to talk to Keith]

I’ve been performing patrols since day one here, during high crime times. Bakugou as a hero-in-training has been on them with me. I don’t know how you patrol or what your qualifications are, but I’m sure we could come up with something.

Hmm. Well... I may be able to assist you.

[He is part of an Armed Detective Agency.]

Oh? Have you done rounds around the town too?

[Hawks knows you have various skills, but they don’t automatically translate to police work.]

More investigating than not— but I assure you I have the experience. The Armed Detective Agency does a lot of different missions for different branches of the government and military.

[He’ll just leave the mafia parts out doot doot doo.]

[an appreciative whistle] Armed Detective Agency, with government and military connections? Sounds like you really do get around. You sound like a versatile person to know.

[Okay look, he was going to take this entirely seriously but then Hawke brings up Bakugou and so all Keith does is raise an eyebrow.]

That guy?

[Implied: That ill tempered guy who looks like he constantly wants to fight? Someone get Keith a mirror.]

[Jeez, is he not allowed to be surprised/skeptical that you want to be a hero.]

I know.

[Stated like this is the most obvious thing in the world??? He told everyone to come to this meeting and obviously that includes you bruh????]

Yes, that guy. Top of his class in the top hero school. He’s a bit of a firecracker [and ill temper isn’t wrong] but he’s on his way to being a good hero.

[Gotta defend his new sorta-protege, he’s rough but not deserving of doubt. please don’t let him down bakugou]

[Nine stabbed Moloch. Absolutely everyone is deserving of doubt.]

[His tone is staying fairly deadpan, but that's also kind of his default tone.]

Where have the two of you been patrolling? I can cover a different route.

We go wherever there's been a lot of people. The motel, the junkyard, the diner. When I'm alone I can cover most of town from above, so the spread is a bit larger. Instead of just covering a different route, different times might work best, stagger the different patrols throughout the day.

I don’t know if I’d be any good at it, but I don’t mind volunteering.

I don’t see why you can’t help. At the trial you were rather sharp, all the better to spot oddities.

[Sometimes spotting the beginning of something is most of the trouble.]

Oh. [ seems like someone's not too good at taking compliments ] I'll do my best then.
