The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.
Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.
Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.
It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

Anyway, he decidedly looks satisfied enough, so time to let him know what's up. ]
Inside of the that huge statue was this.
[ Judging by the fact he's still holding up the notebook he must be talking about that. Either way he assumes Keith understands it well enough. ]
All it had was some obituaries. They went back all the way to the beginning this town was founded. Every person listed in here says just some shit that basically ends up as indicating that they were buried in Cartesio.
There's also nothing about anyone who died from being murdered or executed if they were kidnapped and brought here. So nothing about Nine, Moloch, and those people who died in the previous group that Millium and Sakura spoke about. Think it might be because the citizens here don't give a shit enough to put people not native in the town in the obituaries or what?
[ That last bit is punctuated rather suddenly coldly but he is honestly rather curious to hear what Keith thinks...or what anyone thinks about that. ]

[ Just going to point that out as one of the ones named from the last group. ]
Also, speaking of the people that died, I haven't seen any of their spirits here at all... but do you think the names that you found might match the ones in the graveyard?

[ No shit, right? But he moves on, listening to what she's saying now. ]
They probably would. It's probably worth checking out even if it'll probably take awhile to check. Leave no stone unturned, right?
...Didn't know you could check for someone's spirit, but it's probably good if they haven't stuck around.

Nah. The folks here are spooked by what's going on, seems like. They want the murders and the executions to stop, but they feel like the situation's out of their hands.
[Or at least that's what Mason had said. Keith has no reason to doubt the guy's fear there. His brow is furrowed, thoughtful.]
Seems if you gave them the choice, they'd be fine with having obituaries for the outsiders.
[A beat.]
Do you know anything about who wrote those obituaries? Same person who writes the paper, you think?
[Cuz that mysterious person spawns a whole other list of questions. Keith hasn't seen anyone looking like theyre doing any investigative journalism around. Evasive. Super slippery. Coincidence or not that he'd use the same descriptors for the Sergeant?]

So, what, they're pretending to be helpless or what? Tch, either way it sounds like we're going to have to twist their arm to get any help from them, if at all. It might even be a fucking waste of time.
[ Socializing/being nicey nice with the public is...not one of his strong suits and he knows it, so unsurprisingly there is a 'but' in his voice. Deku would've probably gone nuts at the idea of generating more positively with the townspeople, though--picking up the trash, saving people's cats in trees, and all of that...getting that rapport.
There's a ... pause as he considers Keith's question, kind of looking thoughtful. ]
Might be the same person who does, yeah. In which case it'll be good to figure out who's writing them.

[Tone's dipping flatter than usual on that one. It's not like he hasn't tried to get people to make sense/see reason or whatever. And ok maybe the problem is his shitty delivery on some of it. Maybe yelling at the cops for their outright indifference on the idea of lodging any kind of investigation on the Sergeant was a bad way to go. Maybe.]
But I don't think we should give up on them. There's gotta be a way to undo it. Don't know what it is yet.
[There's a thoughtful pause. God it's like they're actually working together on something, what is this the beginning of the endtimes?]
Might find them faster if we lure 'em out with a scene. They like reporting on those.
[And that... that is definitely a grin.]

[ Bakugou asks that, as if seeming to imply he thinks it's a waste of time completely - to even try for those so-called townspeople. However, he's smirking at the other suggestion... ]
Well, aren't you fucking lucky? I'm pretty good with causing 'scenes'. Just pick a place and I'll nake it happen.
[ The unthinkable is happening - they're teaming up. ]
