WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

Big fan of burning things in general. [ Said with a satisfied smirk, the fire in his hand flaring brighter as emphasis. The goths are as safe as everyone else, it's all good. ]

[ sits down by him, and very casually: ]

[ Kinzie gets a brief glance in her direction before Dabi focuses on the flame in his hand again. From this distance it's clear his fire is pretty damn hot, though it doesn't seem to bother him any. ]

...just villain. Supervillain sounds stupid.

You can make fire with your hands, professional advice? That's not regular villain stuff.

[ She shrugs. ]

Unless it is in your dimension, I dunno. Anyway, why the career path of evil?

You should see what my boss can do with his hands. [ Shrug. He might explain, but oh this question. ] Heard a good sell for it.

[ Is he joking? Maybe, possibly, who knows. Impossible to tell from his delivery, but he does look vaguely amused, a slight smirk on his lips. ]

... Yeah, I get that. All the villains back home are kind of... egomaniacal cackling assholes, so I was just curious.

I've dealt with those before. [ Sadly he doesn't care enough about Spinner to tell her that the League has a wanna be ninja-turtle, oh well. Hm, that comparison honestly makes him curious. On a normal day he probably wouldn't ask because heroes are heroes but... ]

The heroes in your world are self righteous assholes too?

I mean, like... Hollywood is, but he's a movie star. We're just the assholes who are strong enough to stop the jackasses trying to blow up space-time or whatever Doctor Babylon is trying to do.

[ He'd remark on what a ridiculous name Hollywood is, and this is from the world where the #1 Hero's ultimate attack is "UNITED STATES OF SMASH", but. His eyes seem to flare brighter blue. ]

...so you're a hero, huh? [ Disliking supervillains isn't actually enough of a tell, cause he hates a lot of other villains too. ]

I guess? The villains are shittier than M.A.Y.H.E.M.

Why's that? [ She already told him about the over the top thing, but getting the full picture is important. ]

They fucked over all the governments and want to get all fascist and enslavey on everyone. If they just wanted money or something I wouldn't care, because mood, but unfortunately.

So they're trash, got it. Villains like that deserve the same end as false heroes.

[goturshit]

[ she casts a glance over at the bottle ]

You gonna offer a girl a drink?

[amburere]

[ Without missing a beat he takes a drink from the bottle. ]

What's in it for me? I don't play nice, 'specially with heroes. [ He's been drinking for the past few hours, which is the only reason his answer isn't a default no. ]

[goturshit]

Ouch, you really are a villain. [ she sighs. ] I'm bad at playing nice with anyone, so I really should have seen this coming.

[amburere]

[ He just smirks. ]

Still not hearin' an answer to the question.

[goturshit]

Well, what do you want?
