WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

Just because you're not frying up the local teen populace doesn't make it good.

[As far as coping mechanisms go, alcohol is down at the bottom as far as Jughead's concerned. He shrugs, hands buried in his jacket, bunching up his frame in his discomfort.]

If this is about Sarge's little...get together earlier, this is probably the kind of thing he'd want.

[amburere]

Nothing 'bout me is good. [ Just to put that out there as confirmation. But he'd much rather talk about the Sergeant than himself. ]

Oh, I know. Went to see him earlier. Still managed to piss him off anyway.

[burgerprince]

[Jughead doesn’t know Dabi well enough to protest, and doesn’t yet have enough investment in him anyway - but usually the worst people were the ones who never claimed to be, so he gives him a brief, skeptical look.]

No offence, but that doesn’t seem like much of an achievement.

[amburere]

[ Dabi doesn't seem phased any, it's just simply how he is. Everything from his appearance to his blunt demeanor speaks to that he has nothing to hide. Well, except for one thing apparently. ]

Ha. Considerin' the explosive brat managed to scare him—yeah, he's easy.

[Jughead snorts despite himself. Not much of a Bakugo fan here.]

Maybe if you just spook him with enough pyrotechnics he'll let us go.

[amburere]

I've thought 'bout it. But he's dedicated to his cause and his boss. Whatever both of those are.

[burgerprince]

Wouldn't be that easy, huh?

[It wasn't a serious suggestion, and there's an amusement that Dabi had considered it as such.]

[amburere]

[ Jughead, he asked the Sergeant if he liked videogames because Oda suggested it. His track record for asking seemingly inane questions is pretty solid. ]

Might be if we can just figure out what. He wouldn't need all those villain self-help books if he actually knew what the hell he was doin'.

[burgerprince]

Self-help books?

[Give him a moment.]

Seriously?

Seen him reading normal self help books, and he's been eager to hear my advice.

[ In a matter of speaking, but yes. He sounds amused. ]

You give him some pointers on the villainy thing?

[His tone is less accusatory than it is amused.]

Yeah. Waste of time, he's worse than my boss at management.

[burgerprince]

Shame. Could've really set him on the right path.
