WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

Oh, like... draw pictures, write, make graffiti art, or something. [he holds up the spray can] With these.

Oh! That seems easy enough.

Yeah, but... Everyone else is right. It's an act of vandalism... The town might get angry at us. Again.

Hmm, we don't have to use those cans, right?

What else would ya use?

If we just need to express ourselves, why don't we just use the environment? Grass, rocks, dirt, a lot easier to clean up if they don't like it.

[relieable]

[oh. interesting. are you a treehugger?]

But... we were given these. So I think we probably have t'use 'em.

[tuffguy]

But do we have to?

The note didn’t say so. And if you express yourself in dirt and twigs, not like that’s not also following the “rules.”

Still a mess, but not as big one. And who says we can't express ourselves by making things look better?

I like your fighting spirit. [and your desire to not do what the Sergeant asks. he sets down the box] If you use rocks and trees, I will, too.

Right!

[ Bolin takes a quick look and focuses in on the mound of dirt that previously covered the metal box. He's making a quick motion with his hands and stepping forward, earthbending the earth and trying to make it so that it's even and not look like there was any disturbance there whatsoever. ]

[cartesio]

[ He'll have no problem doing so! With just a few motions and a few moments, it's like the box was never dug up to begin with. ]

[tuffguy]

[ Sweet! Now, Bolin is looking around at what the hill is looking like? What's the environment like? Is it terribly rocky, uneven? Any trash and stuff that can be picked up and thrown away? ]

[cartesio]

[ Bless you, Bolin. No, no one's littered around here. But it's sort of rocky, enough for you to work with. ]

[tuffguy]

[ Well, Bolin is going to move those rocks around, making the ground a lot more even. Also, if any rocks are big enough, he's going to try and arrange them artfully around like some sort of zen garden. ]

[just going to stare at this man who is... moving the earth with his hands]

[tuffguy]

[ it's cool, he knows he's awesome ]

How... what are you doing? [witchcraft?]

Oh, it's earthbending! It's something people can do where I come from.

If it's necessary, you could paint the rocks. It would wear away naturally anyway, right?

[tuffguy]

That's also true!

It might even look nice, right? A little splash of color if you will~

It might. People do need color in their lives.
