WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[ Cian appreciates Osomatsu's help so much. He is a lot more convincing and assertive than she is (which to be fair isn't hard), so his assistance is a gift from above. ]

Well, we're not actually driving in or out though.

But walk-in-to-get-in-the-car-cinema is not nearly as catchy, it's true.

Not at all! [he laughs] Besides, it's got the spirit of a drive-in cinema, yanno? I think everyone'll be really pleased.

It might be a bit superfluous when there is a real cinema somewhere out in town, but watching a movie pretty much outdoors like this... it sounds like an amazing amount of fun.

[ To Cian, coming from her future world, this is also a little like historical re-enactment, really. ]

You ever been to a drive-in cinema?

No, never! The technology is all totally different for me, so all of this is new and really exciting.

Watching movies on your augmented reality contact lenses may be advanced, but this sounds like so much more fun.

That’s ‘cause it is fun! I went to a couple when I was younger, and I really thought it was cool, sittin’ with my family and fighting over popcorn. Since it was outdoors, we could talk.

I'm really looking forward to that part. Everyone's from such different places, it will be amazing to see how opinions on movies might vary.

Actually, I probably haven't seen most movies from this time yet either, so that will be fun too!

So... where are we gonna get the movies? [and how will we play them?]

Jughead-kun said he has 'connections', so I assume he'll be able to get one of the townspeople to find the cinema and get movies from there.

I haven’t talked to that guy yet. But he seems pretty smart. [like with investigations and solving puzzles] Hope he brings back good stuff.
