WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[ well, oda knows that's not true, but he would also feel like he's overstepping his boundaries by insisting, so he doesn't.

It's nothing. I wanted to help somehow...even if it's just like this.

I know the feeling... it's why I started this to begin with. If I'm already not going to be able to help us get out of this situation, I want to try making people feel better a little bit.

[ She stretches her arms above her head, relaxing her body a little. Taking a talking break is not a bad idea after all. ]

This ended up a completely different kind of project than what I thought it'd be, though.

[odasaku]

[ oda tilts his head, slightly curious ]

Oh? What did you expect?

[integratedsoul]

I was going to make a normal kind of party.

[ She laughs. Things did go... very out of hand. ]

But when I asked people what kinds of things they like, they said all kinds of things. Jughead-kun suggested a drive-in, Bakugou-kun a martial arts competition... My original plan was to accommodate as many different interests as possible and I guess... it's going to end up a few different events now after all.

[odasaku]

That sounds like a lot of work...are you sure that's alright?

[ he looks a bit worried!!! ]

[integratedsoul]

I'm almost sure and I'm making that count.

[ There's a pause here. She should probably clarify this some. ]

There's no way to change yourself that doesn't also involve effort, is there? In my world, I never had to put effort into anything. Strained muscles, exhaustion, sickness... I didn't get to feel them either. So if I'm doing this now and it's exhausting, that's a sign I'm moving forward for once.

[odasaku]

[ oda's quiet for what seems to be a long time, his expression unreadable.

but then, he nods. ]

Yeah, you're right. I'll help you whenever you need it. Exerting yourself is good, but don't overdo it.

[integratedsoul]

Well, as long as I'm going, there's no time to get scared.

[ This comment like all others is said with a smile, but Cian really means it. Exhaustion and pain are terrifying and the last time she felt them was during a traumatic event in her childhood. This whole town is terrifying and forcing her to reinvent herself. Sure, she's been dreaming of change for a long while, but is this a good way to attain it...? Cian doesn't want to stop and ask. ]
