WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week
The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

I'm not familiar with any of those things. Ah... International Police and Humanity's Wake, that is.
silvertongueheir: (I always knew)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-22 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, we International Police simply have jurisdiction in all regions, mostly to pursue criminal groups that span multiple regions. Humanity's Wake is one such group-they believe that humans have no need of Pokemon, and seek to get rid of them to "free" us. [His voice gets contemptuous near the end.]

"Free?"

[For someone who's already hazy on all the workings of his world, this is not making things much clearer.]
silvertongueheir: (That was close)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-22 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
From having to rely on Pokemon. It's true that we could probably survive independently of them, but their presence is tied into our society, and even the ones who do not work are cherished companions.
quickpersuader: (However many)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-22 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
...Then why wouldn't you want to have them? It's a little like pets, isn't it?
silvertongueheir: (I had in store)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-22 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Precisely. Humanity's Wake are fools and terrorists, who think nothing of threatening children if they feel it serves their agenda. Our mission is to oppose them however possible.

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-22 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder what makes them so passionate about their cause.

[There's always something - even if it's unsavory.]
silvertongueheir: (That was close)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-23 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
We haven't really had any opportunity for civil conversation with them, unfortunately. Even Liam hasn't gotten much from reading their minds. We'd probably have to track down someone in a higher leadership position for that.
quickpersuader: (While someone)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-23 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hm?]

One of your members can read minds?
silvertongueheir: (I always knew)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-23 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. Liam is both a telepath and a telekinetic. He's quite an accomplished psychic at such a young age, too.
quickpersuader: (clouds)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-23 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I see.

Sounds unpleasant.

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-24 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
He's grown used to it over time. And he has improved at controlling his ability.
quickpersuader: (Somewhere I think)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-25 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
...

Then, hopefully he'll avoid the same fate as that country.
silvertongueheir: (Til now I've been pretending)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-26 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
You've visited a country where people could read minds?
quickpersuader: (We are going; a quiet voice)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-28 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Everyone in the country took a medicine that allowed them to hear each other's thoughts. They thought it would make it so everyone would be able to understand each other perfectly without being limited by words as a form of communication.

[It was not a great idea.]
silvertongueheir: (What kind of ride)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-30 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
And I'm guessing there was no way to filter those thoughts, whether coming in or out? [Why are people so dumb sometimes.]
quickpersuader: (And then the)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-10-31 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, none.

[People sure are people, no matter which country.]
silvertongueheir: (What kind of ride)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-10-31 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
I assume whatever happened in the end wasn't pleasant, then.

quickpersuader: (the mountains)

[personal profile] quickpersuader 2018-11-01 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
Everyone decided to stay away from each other. That country... will probably die out with its current generation.
silvertongueheir: (What kind of ride)

[personal profile] silvertongueheir 2018-11-01 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod.] I suppose that's why Psychics back home don't form groups that often.
