WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

Not a thing. No one teaches you how to become a villain, you fall into it.

Makes sense. Even in my world, Miach only recruited people as comrades who already had a predisposition towards hating society, so that hasn't changed... too much.

[ Miach and Dabi are probably very different kinds of villains but when your frame of reference is small... ]

Oh? [ He's done staring at clothes and grabs a plain white t-shirt, adding a dark blue one after a moment's hesitation. With that done he turns to give her his full attention, obviously interested. ]

I didn't understand it back then, but she was on the look-out for others who didn't manage to play along in society. That's why she approached out other friend and me.

She'd always say she wasn't interested in ordinary people and I suppose this is what she really meant. She wasn't interested in people who could exist in society without loathing it on some level? Because those people weren't the kinds of comrades in arms she was looking for.

Sounds familiar. [ There's a peculiar smile on his face. ]

You reminded me a tiny bit of Miach when we met, actually.

[ There's not much similarity on an objective level, but something about the atmosphere when Dabi questions society is nicely familiar. ]

Do you seek out people sometimes or is it the other way around?

[amburere]

Both. Tis' kind of a hobby. [ HIs grin is more pronounced. ]
