Week 3 - Trial

Week 3: Trial
April 20th. It was now time for the trial.
When everyone arrives at the trial room, the tribunes are already filled with townspeople. Compared to last week, there's less morbid curiosity and more quiet outrage. Everyone's glaring at the visitors while they enter the courtroom.
The number of podiums draped in black has increased dramatically. Nine's, Mako's, Sandalphon's, and Bakugou's have joined Moloch's, raising the number to five. That's one sixth of the available podiums. How many more will be covered in black velvet before these two months end?
Once everyone is at the right podium, the Sergeant bangs his gavel. He doesn't seem to be in better mood than before.
Without even bothering to taunt or be as antagonistic as usual, he waves the gavel. Five small photos appear on the podiums.

The trial room went completely silent, all the visitors can feel the attentive stares of the townspeople gathered to watch. It's up to them now to find the culprit.
Let the trial begin.

"Today the victim is Katsuki Bakugou. Solve it."
"When it's time, you shall cast your vote. Write it on paper or put the photo inside the slot, I don't really care about how you do it. What matters is that you actually do it. Start your discussion."
[Welcome to the trial! Please remember to cash your votes here!. Your deadline is 8:00 PM EST. Good luck!]

Fair point, though.

[Clearly not happy to compliment her but he's seen her shoot enough things to be confident about that.]

What good are technical skills when they'd have to wonder whether or not she'd shoot them in their sleep if they look at her wrong...?

Lady Eremiya only keeps the best of the best around, and I'm the best of that. If someone falls short, they're gone. We don't keep garbage around, and all this friendship get-along stuff is garbage on the battlefield. It's not a matter of liking or trusting anyone; it's about our skills and our loyalty to Lady Eremiya. Make all the stupid talk you want, but I don't waste time on impractical stupidity, and that's why I can be so sure of myself.

And she would expect the best of the best to be able to take out one person here if it meant nobody back home being able to link you to some pretty nasty stuff, wouldn't she?

[again, completely unaware of how ABSOLUTELY FUCKED this all sounds]

[natalie oh my god let it go]

[ah, she's mad about that]
If I come back and I tell her Prince Marth is dead, I'd receive nothing but praise. Chaos has always been our most important tool; if I want to take a team to eradicate some other noble farts in the meantime and we get the chance to disrupt the continent further while the rest of our plan comes to fruition without that trash royal's interruption, it would be a pleasure. A reward, if anything.

[She tilts her head.]
So if you got home, you'd just take care of him before telling her what went on?

But if I come back with that prince's head, the rest of it doesn't matter. Our whole mission depends on that.
