Everything's getting worse. Rose Nylund and Frasier Crane murdered Jughead Jones during the event Jughead worked so hard to organize. Given some of the townspeople were in attendance, it didn't give a good impression -- if the visitors did this when trying to be good people and get along with Cartesio, then how will they behave once they get into destroying everything? The cruel method of Jughead's death also left everyone quite horrified, too.
That may be why it's no surprise the town's quiet unrest is slowly turning into real, tangible fury.
During the week, from time to time stones break some of the windows of the motel, looking outside shows a random passerby running away. Graffiti is left on the walls: 'SEE IF YOU LIKE THIS' 'MURDERERS' 'YOU'RE GOING TO DESTROY US ALL', and other similar messages. Some of the store owners hesitate when the visitors approach, but they don't refuse service because money is always nice.
The Sergeant's pervasive influence is starting to cover not only you, but also the entire town of Cartesio. After all, everything that's happening to you and the motel? It's the result of what you and the other visitors have done.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

The plants here are of the more harmful type. You were searching for plants that could be poisonous or toxic, Kino? There they are. At least they're not for sale, it's more for study.
Of special interest there's a large clay pot right in one corner, where an impressive bush is growing. To its side there's a few notes]

Serph is looking for useful materials in the junkyard. He'll bring you anything that could be of use. He will provide you of anything you need, if you can endure his demeanor. He's obnoxious, but at least he has intelligence.
We will continue researching.

Looks like it's a friendly letter. Well, "friendly", because it's dripping disdain, but at least it's cooperative. Whoever this Faba is, he seems to be directing a few research efforts alongside the owners of this greenhouse.
That seems to be the most recent note. There's one that seems to be of earlier times, too]

My Pokemon found a lot of different berries. It's extraordinary, given how these aren't native to this area of the world. Actually, they're from the place I come from. Seeing them has given me a bright idea: I can use their properties to create medicine that could be used in humans! The name Faba shall be known as a pioneer in the field of medicine!
I have sent a few of these berries. Please try to make a berry plant grow, you shall be rewarded for your efforts if you succeed.

That one seems to be from a couple weeks ago.
For a bunch of guys that arrived with Sakura, Millium and Wayne, they sure seem to have gotten very productive lives, fitting for their skills and ambitions.
It's almost sad you and everyone else are now here, causing so much trouble to the town that welcomed them with open arms.
Take some Oran berries from the bush if you want, Kino, nobody's going to miss them.
