Fifth Week

Everything's getting worse. Rose Nylund and Frasier Crane murdered Jughead Jones during the event Jughead worked so hard to organize. Given some of the townspeople were in attendance, it didn't give a good impression -- if the visitors did this when trying to be good people and get along with Cartesio, then how will they behave once they get into destroying everything? The cruel method of Jughead's death also left everyone quite horrified, too.

That may be why it's no surprise the town's quiet unrest is slowly turning into real, tangible fury.

During the week, from time to time stones break some of the windows of the motel, looking outside shows a random passerby running away. Graffiti is left on the walls: 'SEE IF YOU LIKE THIS' 'MURDERERS' 'YOU'RE GOING TO DESTROY US ALL', and other similar messages. Some of the store owners hesitate when the visitors approach, but they don't refuse service because money is always nice.

The Sergeant's pervasive influence is starting to cover not only you, but also the entire town of Cartesio. After all, everything that's happening to you and the motel? It's the result of what you and the other visitors have done.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[It's not a hair blower, nope. Nice try, Oda.

This is a jar, and it's filled with some sort of...blue viscous liquid. Opening it makes a stench fill the place -- who knows how long this has been here. There's also measuring cups, tools, and other similar objects.

There's one last table. You're almost done, Oda]

[ yeah oda has no idea what the fuck that is and after opening, quickly shuts it again. maybe it's a doctor's office or something? but then why would they need so many mirrors?

[There's a lot of stuff in this last table. The biggest object is...this?

The rest of the table has makeup, powders, creams, and other assorted items. Despite having been in this abandoned building for a long time, most stuff looks rather fresh, which is a miracle, really.

Turns out your hair blower assumption, while inaccurate, wasn't too far from the truth. This is a beauty salon]

[ well it's not until he sees the hair dye that he understands what this place is. and even when he does understand it, he's still not entirely sure about his conclusion. like maybe he'll just find something that doesn't belong in the beauty salon at all.

but unfortunately, if there's nothing else that sticks out, he'll leave the rest of the beauty salon for someone who...isn't as beauty salon-dumb as he is. ]

[There's one thing that may stick out, if he feels like prodding around: there are a couple things that are still plugged into wall sockets.

They still work perfectly -- or at least they buzz and move around. That...means they work, right?

Looks like there's electric service here. That's bound to be necessary, for the use of everything here.
