Week 5: Investigation

You wake to the heat breaking in the morning. It's actually morning, bright. Sunny. Probably all of you are pleased to have gotten through the night with sleep, or at least with no sudden gunshots and impromptu investigation.

Cherish that brief bliss. Enjoy your morning routine, as long as it's in the motel. Once you leave the motel, you see, it's obvious something awful's happened again. Someone has taken the Sergeant's bait.

Because, right outside the very door of the building you sleep in, there's a broken body to greet you.

[ Nothing is immediately off here, no signs of a struggle or anything. Where do you want to look in the store? ]

[He hasn't been here much, but at least he can walk down the aisles and look for any conspicuous empty spots.]

[ Look for long enough and you'll find several cans of enamel paint appear missing. ]

[Okay, that's weird...anything else missing? After a nudge from Hydrangea, he'll also take a glance at the ceiling to see if there's anything there.]

[ Nothing on the ceiling, nope! He'll notice the shades missing are various ones of beige and tan, and a small paintbrush missing from a shelf. ]
