Week 5 - May 4th

Week 5: Investigation
You wake to the heat breaking in the morning. It's actually morning, bright. Sunny. Probably all of you are pleased to have gotten through the night with sleep, or at least with no sudden gunshots and impromptu investigation.

Cherish that brief bliss. Enjoy your morning routine, as long as it's in the motel. Once you leave the motel, you see, it's obvious something awful's happened again. Someone has taken the Sergeant's bait.

Because, right outside the very door of the building you sleep in, there's a broken body to greet you.

[ That looks like it could be important. Is it on fire too? ... Nah, nevermind, doesn't matter. He's gonna stick his hand right in to try and quickly grab the fabric and put out the fire by waving it around.

It's a very bad idea, yes, but listen?? Listen. ... there's no excuse here, actually. Also while he's doing that, what color is this paint anyway? ]

[ Whoo hoo!! I guess he literally pockets it? He has big pockets so hopefully it doesn't get lost in there. And also hopefully it doesn't leave paint in his pockets because that would be bad.

Anyway, distressing pocket stains aside, let's check out the something helpful! What do his dragon slayer eyes see? ]

[ Heartless!

Very neat! Before he loses that in his pockets, any wet paint on this brush? ]

[ Strange! But all right, he pockets that too. Oh, and one last question!

Is the amount of burning paint roughly consistent with how much there should've been in the cans or is it less? ]
