Week 5: Trial

      

Last time it was at dawn. Now it's at sunset. The Sergeant gave everyone plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, and now that everyone entered the courtroom, he slammed his gavel.

"I can sense a few of you are feeling rather hostile. Remember you're in a courtroom, and you're being watched by everyone in town"

People's opinions of the visitors are already very low, but there's no need to feed them further with a brawl in the courtroom -- or so the Sergeant thinks. There are more podiums draped in black now. Five more people died, seventeen people are alive. How many will be left once the trial is over?

"This time we have three victims in total. Millium Orion, Cian Reikado, and Azura were the unfortunate victims last night, and now you shall debate and decide who is responsible for this.

These are your suspects. Vote for as many as you think are responsible for these crimes"

I was at Millium’s body. [ oda’s voice is emotionless today, detached more than usual. ] Her robot had dents consistent with being hit with a blunt object. There were also some very small specks of tan paint near it. Millium’s body was found face down under the robot, her back covered in bruises. Besides her neck being broken, she also had broken arms and legs.

[ and he’ll go back to silence, watching the crowd ]

It sounds like she was thrown from the roof. [Franciscus has managed to compose himself as well.] Were the bruises and dents around the same size?

[The bruises on Millium were far more extensive than the dents on Lammy]

She had larger bruises. They might have been from Lammy falling on her.

...So what? She was thrown and then they dropped Lammy on her?

It seems like it. Though it doesn't look like Lammy caused the dent. [Since he's not pyramid-shaped, plus it was under her.] So something else must have hit the ground before either of them did.

So she fell on something or had something with her... Something that was moved...

It doesn't seem like any of the items we found would make that kind of indentation, though.

It's something incriminating or something valuable then. And the only thing I can think of that's valuable is the medals. Cause money ain't an issue here.

[He doesn't know a lot about how the medals work. But he's been wondering about it.]

Unless she had her medal on her, the medal should just be delivered to the room of the person who earned it.

Like with the rewards we get from missions, I think.

Speaking of the dents...! Um, were the dents on Lammy similar to the ones I found underneath... [ ... she can't say it, but it's obvious what, or rather who she's talking about ]

[By the time Millium was found, rigor mortis was barely starting to happen]
