Week 5 - Trial

Week 5: Trial
Last time it was at dawn. Now it's at sunset. The Sergeant gave everyone plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, and now that everyone entered the courtroom, he slammed his gavel.
People's opinions of the visitors are already very low, but there's no need to feed them further with a brawl in the courtroom -- or so the Sergeant thinks. There are more podiums draped in black now. Five more people died, seventeen people are alive. How many will be left once the trial is over?

Let the trial begin.
"I can sense a few of you are feeling rather hostile. Remember you're in a courtroom, and you're being watched by everyone in town"

"This time we have three victims in total. Millium Orion, Cian Reikado, and Azura were the unfortunate victims last night, and now you shall debate and decide who is responsible for this.
These are your suspects. Vote for as many as you think are responsible for these crimes"

[Welcome to the trial! Please remember to cast your votes here!. Your deadline is 8:00 PM EST. Good luck!]

HANDWRITING CHECK
Okay, suspects. Could you, uh... Write down the following words: "Millium - Please meet me on the roof at six."
[this might not help if they have a forger on their hands]

[Well, she complies and writes it, but she's already seen what the handwriting in the note looks like the whole time she was hoarding it, so who knows if you can trust it.]

[Still, he obliges. Nice fancy rich person handwriting.]

[ writes the words. they're pretty basic strokes, like someone who never really written that much ]

...Sorry, Keith. It really does look like your handwriting. [but the tone of the note doesn't match him at all. this was probably a bust. he can only hope others will find something more substantial]

Guess he could've written the note in a hurry, and forgotten about how Keith speaks.

Maybe you didn't. But you said Gerard can control rocks.

[I’m sorry about him.]
Anyone would say the same. Without offering anything else in that statement, it’s rather weak.

Honestly, we don't really know that much about this yet.

We also can't ignore the fact that the Sarge was up there, doing god knows what. I'm not sure he would tamper with things, but... he had the opportunity. He might be trying to get as many people killed here as he can.

[And at this point he's realizing he's sounding like some godawful broken record on this, but....]
Someone else on this suspect list is good at forgery. People here know what my handwriting looks like.

Most of the people I spoke to regularly are dead.
[Doesn't manage deadpan there.]
My guess is that whoever did it thought I was an easy target for framing, rather than having a grudge against me. Obviously they don't know me well enough to know how I talk so... Franciscus, Ryouka or Bollin.

Not my style, no.

You would think it would have to be, yes?
no subject
[That's a quick response.]
The fact that I'm supposed to be able to call Black to me isn't on that guestbook either.

Although I do suppose we have someone with “espionage” listed among our suspects.
