Week 5: Trial

      

Last time it was at dawn. Now it's at sunset. The Sergeant gave everyone plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, and now that everyone entered the courtroom, he slammed his gavel.

"I can sense a few of you are feeling rather hostile. Remember you're in a courtroom, and you're being watched by everyone in town"

People's opinions of the visitors are already very low, but there's no need to feed them further with a brawl in the courtroom -- or so the Sergeant thinks. There are more podiums draped in black now. Five more people died, seventeen people are alive. How many will be left once the trial is over?

"This time we have three victims in total. Millium Orion, Cian Reikado, and Azura were the unfortunate victims last night, and now you shall debate and decide who is responsible for this.

These are your suspects. Vote for as many as you think are responsible for these crimes"

Since there's evidence someone stepped into the pond, I'd like to examine everyone's shoes and feet, please.

[She'll be looking for signs of mud or excessive cleanliness.]

[Niwatori's boots are absolutely covered in feathers. Which are dry.]

If I stepped in that pond, you'd know.

Could you please remove them and show me your feet, then?

[Whatever Kino's thinking seems pretty gross, so Niwa side eyes, but she still complies pretty much immediately. She's kind of a doormat...

Though, once she wriggles her feet out, it's pretty clear that they're dry as well. No mud.]

I'm checking it for everyone, so please don't think I'm singling you out or anything.

Ah... I see! Then I won't, and thank you, ehehe.

[At least she isn't RUDE like Natalie]

[ lifting up his shoes. there's some mud on them but not that much ]

[How caked on is it? And is it pretty much dry?]

[ as caked on as you would expect for a guy who can control earth. but it's pretty much dry ]

Can I see your feet, now?

Alright.

[ he stumbles slightly as he lifts his feet up one at a time but he tugs off his feet, which are pretty clean. ]

[Olympia's still shoeless (and clothesless) but you can inspect her weird metal feet!]

[Do Olympia's metal feet tend to pick up grime?]

[Not at an unusual rate?

There's some dirt from walking around down, but no mud or anything.]

[So no signs of recent cleaning, either?]

[I mean, depends on what you mean by recent? She's given herself a rinse in the past few days but not, like, this morning.]

[Keith has actually learned his lesson from the first time and isn't wearing paladin armor. He'll hand his boots over, which are ... just a normal level of dirty from having worn them generally, but no evidence of having been recently in the pond.

Feet are likewise looking alright. Does Kino want to repeat this smelling thing again...]

[We are not doing the sniff test, no.]

[Fancy rich kid shoes. He's been doing his best to take care of them, but there's still some grime on them nonetheless.]

[Does it look like mud kinda grime or just dirt kinda grime?]

[Just dirt and dust. He didn't even go near the pond today.]

[After a brief pause, he slides his feet out of his shoes. They're also clean!]
