Week 5 - Trial

Week 5: Trial
Last time it was at dawn. Now it's at sunset. The Sergeant gave everyone plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, and now that everyone entered the courtroom, he slammed his gavel.
People's opinions of the visitors are already very low, but there's no need to feed them further with a brawl in the courtroom -- or so the Sergeant thinks. There are more podiums draped in black now. Five more people died, seventeen people are alive. How many will be left once the trial is over?

Let the trial begin.
"I can sense a few of you are feeling rather hostile. Remember you're in a courtroom, and you're being watched by everyone in town"

"This time we have three victims in total. Millium Orion, Cian Reikado, and Azura were the unfortunate victims last night, and now you shall debate and decide who is responsible for this.
These are your suspects. Vote for as many as you think are responsible for these crimes"

[She's gone into detail about that with Natalie already.]
Cian was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The after image of their bodies, broken and bruised flashes in his mind juxtaposed with the images of their smiling faces the last time he saw them.
There's a bitter taste in his mouth, a pit in his stomach and as he looks at Olympia he thinks there's nothing else in the world that he'd like to do than drive his fist into her face, but that wouldn't take away what's hurting at the core.]
You lured them out with my name. Why the hell did you do that?

[.........]
And because you are reminiscent of my enemy.

You-- [He shakes his head, disgusted, With Olympia, with himself.] I thoguht we had a bonding moment over Jesus and Santa.

Perhaps, if I was human...
no subject
[That's bitter as all hell. His hands feel empty without a blade in this context.]
How are we similar?

[She is aware of the irony.
...
She's maybe a little closer to human than she realizes.]

Bolin's gotten up and so has he, and it's clear that he's debating attempting another swing at her.]
I didn't ask to be born part Galra.
[Didn't ask. And honestly? He hated it for a long time when it became clear that there was Galran blood running in his veins. Hated the mistrust in people's eyes when they found out. Hated feeling even more isolated from the people around him than he already did.
That was all before he met Krolia and came to understand the alien mother who abandoned him. Fists tightening, he takes a deep breath.]
I'm not pretending to be anything other than who I am. You on the other hand? You don't even realize how pathetic you really are.
