Week 6: May 6th - 10th

Sixth Week

Killers and victims, killers and victims. Three of your own have fallen prey to murderous intent last week. Your numbers keep shrinking. Azura has fallen prey to Franciscus in the same night that Olympia betrayed her friend Millium and killed Cian who wound up in the crossfire. At this rate, is there anyone you can trust?

The townspeople's anger burns hotter than ever. Wherever they go, must they live in fear of stumbling on a corpse? They can't live like this. More than ever, the visitors are being shown that they are unwelcome.

Walking outdoors, cold looks are the norm. Shouted profanity isn't unexpected. Barely anybody is willing to still hold a conversation with any visitors.

Even within the motel, there is no feeling of safety any longer. Not only have two people died in this very place, no, now the townspeople also lost their fear of coming inside. While they don't enter private rooms, the daring among them vent their hatred of you by vandalizing the common rooms.

Cartesio has become a menacing place.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again. Don't mind that some of them have been damaged in one of the attacks on the motel.

Usually it would turn back into a card when I wanted it to, but it just suddenly vanished... I don't know what happened...

So the card let you fly... for a little while... but now it's gone. I wonder if Sarge has it.

Yeah... I'm kind of sad about it, because if I used Mirror-san, I could have had someone join me... [ She does look rather distraught, not going to lie. ]

Sakura-chan, how many cards are there? [how many does she have?]

There's the Sakura cards but those turned blank... and then there's the Clear cards-- the ones I have now. Currently, I captured thirteen of the Clear cards. There's nineteen Sakura cards.

[relieable]

[oh, he was worried there were, like, hundreds of cards!]

I see. [he's thinking. usually the cards don't just disappear like that. it really sounds like the Sergeant has something to do with this] Well, maybe try not to use anymore of your cards for the time being. It feels, to me, like whatever powers you have are limited while we're here.

But what if I can help someone with them...? [ and there might not be hundreds now but, uh powers: being able to create her own magic into cards is a thing ]

...What if you lose them for good if you use them here?

[ Yeah, she's pretty powerful... but she is also not aware that she can create cards. Oops. ]

Everything will surely be alright. I'm certain that... even if they disappear, it won't be for good.

[relieable]

[ah. hm. he nods]

I guess... you'd know more about your own cards than me. If you feel that they'll come back to you, then use them to help people. [...] Though, I dunno if I'd try flying again.

Yeah, I wouldn't... want to potentially hurt myself again.

[relieable]

Right. [he was just glad that he'd been walking by at the time] Everyone'd be really upset if you got hurt. [in any way. Sakura was precious! she needed to be protected]
