Killers and victims, killers and victims. Three of your own have fallen prey to murderous intent last week. Your numbers keep shrinking. Azura has fallen prey to Franciscus in the same night that Olympia betrayed her friend Millium and killed Cian who wound up in the crossfire. At this rate, is there anyone you can trust?
The townspeople's anger burns hotter than ever. Wherever they go, must they live in fear of stumbling on a corpse? They can't live like this. More than ever, the visitors are being shown that they are
unwelcome.
Walking outdoors, cold looks are the norm. Shouted profanity isn't unexpected. Barely anybody is willing to still hold a conversation with any visitors.
Even within the motel, there is no feeling of safety any longer. Not only have two people died in this very place, no, now the townspeople also lost their fear of coming inside. While they don't enter private rooms, the daring among them vent their hatred of you by vandalizing the common rooms.
Cartesio has become a menacing place.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again. Don't mind that some of them have been damaged in one of the attacks on the motel.

WEDNESDAY - May 9th
NEWSPAPER
The spotlights that used to decorate the casino have gone missing. What used to be a landmark to find the casino are now gone. What's strange is that none of the many cameras of the casino recorded anything, and the outsiders were seen in places far away from the casino.
In a recent edition we pointed out one of the outsiders used to be a robot, and we polled the residents of our beloved town to see if anyone else could be a mechanical creation. Could it be others have tricks up their sleeves? In recent times, there are rumors that one of them, known as Hawks, may truly have wings. Although the general opinion towards the outsiders is negative, people seems to be interested in Hawks, and would approach to ask him directly under different circumstances.
We'd like to point that, if these rumors are true, then we have a handy suspect for the missing spotlights. If it turns out the named Hawks is innocent, this reporter would like to interview Hawks. No hard feelings.]

You might expect him to be up to something, flipping through so many books. But it's hard to believe he's really reading them the way he slips through. But there's one that-- to get to the end, he stops with his hand frozen on the page.]
"People exist to save themselves"...
[He's heard this before. This line. It was... Ah. He'd forgotten. Oh but how vividly it returns. He can hear it...
Dazai takes the book with him. He'll return it. Probably.
The rest of the night finds him lying on the grass in the park staring at the stars with the book from earlier tucked inside his pocket alongside his own less charming book on you know what.
It's... peaceful... which feels nice, which-- feels wrong. And so he hums a meloncholy tune under his breath. It fills the air with something more fitting for his current state of emotions.]

During other parts of the day, she can be found at the community kitchen. People might find her making one of two things: pancakes-- which she'll share with anyone if they ask, and a no-bake cheesecake that she managed to learn from Chiharu-chan back at home.
When she's not hard at work cooking things up, however, she's in the library. This time, she's looking for books on either magic or technology to see if she'll actually find anything that might possibly help them. ]

For the first half of the day he can be found wandering. He stops by the remains of the diner, giving it a nod and a murmur about missing it. It's barely audible, you think he's openly admitting being sad it's gone? You thought wrong. But he's heading to the casino to whale on the punch bags. That's literally all he's doing, beating the crap out this poor bag.
Before he finds somewhere to sleep that night he's heading to the tavern. And he's not going to be staying here long, cause screw that, these guys are too rowdy. So the bartender gets his normal wave.]
Hey. Remember that offer last week. I think I'll be taking you up on that, can I have it to go? I don't know if I can stay too long.
[It's cheeky. And so is the grin he tosses over the bar. He's only planning on drinking one there at the most. And he's staying at the bar, whose going to start a fight if he's right there?]

DVD player and TV in tow, he takes it back to his room and sets it up; careful to lock the door. He's waited long enough, so what's on this Cartesio Security Footage?
Come evening, Dabi's in the tavern, with this week's newspapers spread out on the bar. There's a half-finished glass of whiskey in front of him, and though he goes through all of the papers, Monday's garners the most attention. ]
Nice! Different than the headlines at home, but not bad.

Investigation
The disc starts on March 30th, and lasts 24 hours. It's evening, the sunset is illuminating everything with orange hues through the windows. It seems to be some sort of office place, cubicles fill everything as far as the eye can see.
Pretty different from the big empty space everyone has been seeing in that building.
Doesn't seem like there's people in there, at least until six people with military uniform enter. All of them have gas masks, and the uniforms conceal any features. Dabi will notice those are the same than the uniform he may have seen in his room already]

EVENT
Maybe you're sleeping when it finally happens. At midnight, a very insistent knock on the door of your room wakes you up. Going out of your room will show you weren't the only one, others are sleepily following too. Checking around the motel will reveal something outside, something that wasn't there before: a large wooden chest, closed with what seems to be a complicated clamp that needs a key to be opened.
There's a note attached to it, written on faded paper. Some of the letters are unreadable, but the point of the message is clear:
'.a..s Willia.s is inside. Return him to .he ma...leum, or else I ..ll inform everyon. yo. took him ou. of his grave. The ..nsequences .ill be dire .or you'
Attached is part of a newspaper article, talking about how Nanette and the rest of the police are looking for definitive evidence before they're able to lock everyone in jail, possibly for the rest of their lives. You see where this is going?
Congratulations, visitors. You potentially have a decades-old skeleton in a chest right in front of the motel. May as well take him to the mausoleum, right?]

PHASE 3
And that's when the sound of helicopters starts to pierce the early morning air. Sirens, from approaching police cars. Spotlights from the sky, right on the mausoleum. And, among it all, a voice that's probably familiar to some of you: Nanette Johnson, voice amplified through a megaphone. ]
All civilians are to leave the area! Repeat, all civilians leave the area! Outsiders, put your hands up!

ENDING?
It's a disaster. The ground is muddy, several coffins got upended because of the water, the mausoleum is freaking broken apart, and almost no grave is intact. Davis was paralyzed, there's a helicopter hovering up because birds kept distracting them, the firetrucks surround the place, and Nanette and Mason deserve a break.
It's 6:00 AM. You're free, everyone. Give Davis Williams back]
