Week 6: Investigation

At around 2 in the morning, a steady rain of hail started to cover the town of Cartesio. The night continued, however, with the motel unbothered, aside from the plink-plink on the roof and windows.

This morning, you'll find the weather's started to let up, though the streets are still blanketed by hail. Mercifully, that's all that's outside the motel this morning. No corpses, no robot remains. That alone should make you feel better, right?

But no. It seems...the town's very alert this morning. There's a strange energy in the air, not just from the Sergeant's horrible threat. Something's off in Cartesio, and you probably recognize that feeling. This has happened four times before, after all.

[Wayne...

After a slight pause, Kino turns around and heads outside again. She will flag down anyone who wants a reason to be here nearby.]

It's Mr. Uedera.

[clearities]

[ walks in here with a plate of pancakes-- oh. this was a mistake. ] Wayne-san...?

[quickpersuader]

[Kino just gives a small nod, voice reluctant because it's Sakura.]

He's... pretty bloody. You might not want to see it.

[clearities]

... [ she's a little quiet, her fingers quivering ] It's okay. If I can help find out who did to Wayne-san... I want to help. [ it's sad because she's the only one left, from the previous group now ] I won't check the body first, but if I have to......

[quickpersuader]

[Kino gives another nod, because it is not her place to deny Sakura.]

I can handle the body. I'm sure there's other clues in the area that we will need to find, too.

[clearities]

Yeah. [ she appreciates it, Kino ] Thank you. And I'm sure we'll find out who did it this time, too. [ she wants to believe in that; she wants to, so badly, especially after how last week messed her up. ]
