Week 7: May 13th - May 17th

Seventh Week
The tense truce that had covered Cartesio was over. The town, feeling betrayed after having given a chance to the outsiders, pushed back. Enraged, they started getting even more daring, starting to get into the tourists' only safe haven: their motel rooms. They don't manage to break in, but it's not unusual to hear thumping on the doors, someone trying to get in. The windows are almost perpetually broken, there's so much graffiti on the ground floor of the motel, both inside and outside, it's hard to know what each one is saying. Can't be anything good, that's the only thing that's certain. The lounge's furniture has been tore to pieces, the lobby only has the guestbook intact, and the planters in middle of the motel are broken, the soil and plants strewn around.
The residents of Cartesio are near their breaking point. The despair, fury, and desire to get rid of the outsiders so everyone can return to their peaceful lives, have covered the town. It won't take long before they reach their breaking point, and if they do...what will happen to the visitors?
The Sergeant's grip on the town is total, and next week is the one marked as END. It seems like there's no way out, like the Sergeant won.
But you can't lose hope. You have to remember: now that you're on your darkest hour, the only way lef to go is upwards. Things can get better, you have to make it happen!
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again. Don't mind that some of them have been damaged in one of the attacks on the motel.

Half good. Did you want me to make you something to eat? [ oooor they could go to the stalls. if they're even open in the morning. ]

[ at all, actually ]
I really don't mind. Are you okay with something simple?
no subject
for now, he'll call the pokémon back to their balls]

but she does smile. ]
I'm glad. I'm still not perfect, though, since I'm still learning.
[ anyway! ] Let's go?
no subject
anyway, yes, he's ready]
Okaaaaay!

sakura has actual living things come out of cards it's not that questionable. nevertheless, she does decide to lead the way. . . to the kitchen! ]
I think there should still be stuff in here to make something. Maybe eggs? And bacon?
no subject
Oh, that sounds really good! I haven't had bacon in a while. [his stomach even growls at that. whoops]
no subject
[ it's not as Japanese as she'd like, but they'll have to make do in this place.
nevertheless, she does go ahead and wash her hands - hygiene first! - before grabbing some butter to put on the skillet. ]
By the way, do you want anything on your eggs? I'm probably going to make them sunny side up, but...
[ she can pretty much do whatever. anyway, breaking the eggs! and actually making up some sort of song about them. ]
First you crack one egg, then you crack another one and then after that, you can make a smiley face with the bacon. ♪
no subject
S-sunny side up is fine! [his shoulders shake, like he's trying hard not to laugh or squeal at her. she's precious!] Or, wait!
[he clears his throat, then sings. his voice is kind of nasally, though] Sunny-side up is great, and then the smiley face is going on a pllaaaaaate! ♪

And they're done!
[ oooof course after she puts the plate on the table she just.
throws her hands in the air, triumphant like in her icon ]
no subject
he also puts his hands up, but only so that he can give her two high-fives! a high-ten, because she deserves it]
Wow! That looks delicious! Thanks for making it!
no subject
You're welcome. I hope you like it.
no subject
Don't you want some?

no subject
he pauses after the first egg, licking his lips]
I like it a lot! You did good.
no subject
[ at least she's not like terrible at cooking? she's really decent, although she definitely has a lot to learn. ]
no subject
after he's eaten the eggs and bacon, he looks a lot better. this week has been hard. actually, all the weeks have been hard! but... the hostage situation is kind of draining]
...How are you doing otherwise?
no subject
[ relatively speaking. ] I got to hear from Syaoran-kun and... he'll be fine. I believe in that.
no subject
On Tuesday, I went to talk to the Sergeant. And he told me he was treating the hostages like VIPs. Now, I dunno if he's trustworthy, or not, but... Hopefully, they're all safe. [and not being forced to kill each other]
no subject
[ although she can't help but be curious.
by 'staying in this town' would they become candidates to kill each other? hm. ]
I thought it was kind of weird, though... that he was just going to keep everyone here instead of doing something worse.
[ like.
you know. killing them himself. since she wouldn't be surprised at that! he killed Mira-san, after all! ]
no subject
[Osomatsu shakes his head, then takes his plate and fork to the sink to rinse and wash them]
I don't think he takes any pleasure in this. He kept saying "orders are orders." Or that what he felt about us didn't matter.
no subject
[ a cant of her head as she blinks, curiously ] Weird how? I agree with you too, since whenever we talk about his work it's always...
He says he's the middleman, to his bosses.
[ it's probably one of the reasons why Sakura doesn't entirely hate him? ]
no subject
...I guess he just seemed... not sad, but resigned to his fate. Like he didn't have any fight in 'im. Like, if it was me, I'd be doin' whatever I could to get back at someone who said they would kill me if I didn't do what they wanted.
