Welcome Party

Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.

Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.

Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.

Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.

There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

[ Someone can't turn down a party, in spite of everything else going on. Bolin managed to find a suit that fit him and he's pretty happy with it too!

You can find Bolin at the Buffet where he's comically loading a plate sky high with all sorts of different foods. He's pausing as he finishes placing a small rack of ribs onto the plate, considering it. ] Hmm, is this enough?

[ Or you might just find him on the Dance Floor, where's he's dancing some sort of Charleston.

Bolin might even be found creeping around the Game Machines. He's not getting anywhere close to them just yet, but he's eyeing them with some sort of hesitant interest. ] Hmm, so there's machines for this sort of thing...

[That is an impressive amount of food... but it's missing something.]

You've forgotten dessert! Unless you were planning to come back later?

[...says the man holding a plate with five slices of cake on it. They're five different kinds, at least?]

Save the best for last, honestly!

[ You can never have enough desserts, but it needs to be the treat it was meant to be. ]

[ stacks another rack of ribs onto the plate. it's getting pretty precarious now. ]

But also make sure not to overdo it, you know. [Moloch holds his plate nearby, ready to catch anything that topples down] You're not used to seeing so much food?

More like taking advantage of all this food. Who knows if this might last.

[ after growing up with little to no food at times? he always makes sure to eat his fill when he gets the chance ]

Game machines

You're not familiar with such machines then, I take it? Though I do believe they will not bite.

Not for gambling at least. I've seen more card or dice games than anything else.

[He nods.] Well, these machines tend to use more attractive lights and sounds to draw in players. Not to mention they can fit more per square foot than those kinds of games, and do not require dealers to be hired. It makes it much easier for casinos to claim your money that way.

[Jughead's just kind of picking at some of the fancy foods here. Free food is always great, but there's something intimidating about it. He looks over to Bolin, and it seems like he's got the opposite problem.]

Maybe I should have stopped at two racks of ribs?

[A good kid, he takes it upon himself to remedy the problem, and just - yoink. There it goes.]

[Millium studies Bolin's movements for a minute, before running up beside him and doing her best to copy them.

She has absolutely no idea what she's doing, but she's having fun with it, so that's gotta count for something, right?]

Hey, you're not that bad! [ because it's not like bolin really knows what he's doing either ]

[She's just glancing over the machines rather than playing any as well, but his words catch her attention nonetheless.]

No no, way more used to seeing card games and dice.

[She's about to respond to that first part, before what he says next takes her off guard.]

...Wait, you're not seriously telling me you don't know what TV is, are you?

[ Cian sounds extremely excited about that. There's many worlds she's learned about already this week, but most of them share similarities among each other and to her world's past, but not to her present.

Nope; just card games and dice from what I've seen. [ also helped rig but shush ]

But I figure it was only a matter of time before electric games like this were made.
