April 7th - Welcome Party

Welcome Party
Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.
Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.
Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.
Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.
There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

[ Maybe meat on meat action? He heads over to the meat section to start grabbing some of the steak. ]
Makes me wish I had more than two hands, you know?

[ Meat on top of meat on top of meat. Joining him and grabbing ribs ]
It's just a matter of figuring out how to properly plate your food.

[ Being strategic about food isn't allowed and should be banned. So he'll just fit things where they seem like they could go. Let's balance these bratwurst sausage things on the side.
He is squinting at the words, and thankfully they are big enough that he can figure it out. ]
What the hell is a turkey?
no subject
They mean turkey duck, right?
no subject
[ he'll poke one of the legs with the carving fork there. ]
It looks like a small as hell chocobo.
no subject
[ squinting at the turkey like it's some sort of strange alien being ]
It... looks like a cooked turkey duck, but something seems off? About it?
no subject
[ Nine is going to indicate with the fork just how big. They are taller than he is and he's at 6'1. ]
Well, it looks good whatever the hell it is. [ He'll just take a leg to put on top of the steak. ] It wouldn't be here if it wasn't, right?
no subject
[ he's nodding along like they're totally the same animal. yes. makes sense. ]
Well, turkey duck is pretty delicious, and it's been awhile... [ waiting until nine is done before slicing off a bit of breast for himself. ] But yeah, it must good.
[ now he's examining the ribs he got ] You think this moo-sow or picken?
no subject
[ Those are some weird ass names. He's going to stare for a moment or two and then just shake his head as he lifts his hand. Nope. Not going to even ask. ]
Beats me. It reminds me of a Tauricorn, yo.
no subject
Good enough for me!
I'm reading it as dicken
Where the hell are you supposed to even sit?
[ Also checking out Bolin's plate to see if he has room for anything or maybe if he grabbed something Nine missed. ]
i mean probably also that
Should we look for some tables? There's gotta be some if there's a buffet.
wink wink
Over there. [ A pause. ] Hey, you kind of look familiar, yo.
[ He just...can't really place the where or how ]
Re: wink wink
Was it from the guestbook? I mean, we're all in it from what I heard.
no subject
Huh. Yeah, maybe. I did kind of flipped through it.
[ Don't test him on any of it though cause he didn't actually read anything.
Flipping his chair backwards as he sits down. Picking up one of the sausages to chew on as he thinks about it. Just going to be staring at him while thinking. It's not the nose or the eyes... maybe the clothes? Maybe something else in the face or hair? ]
