Welcome Party

Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.

Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.

Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.

Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.

There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

[Moloch sure is going to give that a try. It's food!] Look at this, this is rich people food! Rich people eat these legs, like they're chips -- or so I have heard.

What the hell? These don't look like chips.

[ Nine is used to the snack kind of crispy chips. He will pick a couple of them up though and look around for the meat on it. ]

Man, for rich people food, it doesn't have a whole lot of meat. Unless you're supposed to eat the outside?

[ Doesn't look edible. ]

I think you have to crack the outside and then...eat what's inside? [He grabs one of the legs] I hope we don't have to suck to get the meat out.

Seems like a lot of work for something so small, hey.

[ He will put his plate down, and then snag one to crack it open there. Just going to sample it there like some people who kick jukeboxes might. ]

Whoa. That's actually good.

[ Yeah, let's add rich people's difficult food on to the plate. As well as some shrimp ]

No wonder rich people like this so much! [Indeed, it's really good! Amazing!] I don't even know what animal this is supposed to be, but it's really good!

[He had known this was rich people food because he remembered a description, not because he knew what animal it was]

Something ugly. I mean... look at these?

[ Lifting some of the pinchers up ]

Who looks at these and decides I want to eat it anyways?

When you're hungry you eat anything you can get your hands on.

[This is the guy who has sampled concoctions in a laboratory for pretty much no good reason other than those being there and he being thirsty, so he understands whoever discovered this was edible must have been real hungry]

Yeah, I guess so.

[ He's never had to be that desperate, but food is food. So he'll give him that. Snagging some sausages to add to the pile. ]

Everything else looks pretty normal, yo. [ Even the fish there with it's clouded eyes ]
