WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[ Sakura avoids the execution. She's not going to watch someone be put to death like it's some sort of spectacle-- she doesn't want her last memories of Nine to be like that, just like how she was forced to see Mira-san die in that horrific way. So instead, Sakura spends her time in an attempt to be productive. Or at the very least, doing something else entirely different. She promised herself that she wasn't going to cry anymore. At least, not right now. If she has to cry again, she'll do it for completely different reasons. The pain hasn't gone away however, and she's not certain if it ever will, but she's going to try her best to cope at the ice cream parlor, getting several scoops of strawberry ice cream to see if it would melt the anguish in her heart. It doesn't. Later on, she can be found at the park. It's her usual spot for relaxing and clearing her mind, but this time she seems to be making some paper crafts-- specifically, flowers on one of the benches. While she might be a little spaced out, she won't say no to some company. ]

[He's trying to make himself useful today as well-- which included checking out some new places. An ice cream parlor speaks for itself, but he still visits it anyway. He's not entirely disappointed, when he sees Sakura inside. He noticed she didn't come to the execution, so she'd been on his mind a bit.

He takes the chair across from her and spins it, sitting on it backwards; resting his arms on the back and his chin on his arms.]

Strawberry?

[Cute...]

[clearities]

Dazai-san...! [ She's definitely surprised, and it shows how she pretty much drops her spoon, causing her to panic frantically before she catches it. In her cup that had the ice cream, anyway, before she sighs heavily in relief. ] Um, y-yes, strawberry's actually my favorite flavor.

[pursuitofdeath]

Hmm... am I really that scary?

[He seems to be joking nonetheless and smiles a moment later.]

Well, I'll just have to remember that then. How is it, Sakura-chan?

[clearities]

You're not scary at all! You just surprised me!

[ They're different. But then she's asked how the ice cream is, and she just simply smiles, a little serenely. ] It's good. Do you want to try some?

[pursuitofdeath]

Not at all, huh?

[That makes him laugh. He wonders if that's really true.]

Can I?

[Ice cream is good for the soul.]

[clearities]

Yeah! I think Sergeant-san is a lot scarier... [ I mean look at him. ] And sure! I don't mind.

[kingbomber]

[ He angrily digs his own scoops to nab some strawberry ice cream himself.

...When he looks to see she's gotten the same, he just kind of makes a face. ]

You too?

[clearities]

It's a good flavor, isn't it? [ Sakura, on the other hand, seems to be sparkling in excitement in spite of her earlier attitude. ]

[kingbomber]

Yeah, I guess so. But only time will tell if these idiot townspeople fucked this up too.

[ Apparently Bakugou isn't expecting much... ]

[clearities]

Well, the food in the diner seems to be okay, so the ice cream should be fine, too... I know it was fine before.

[kingbomber]

That's different.

[ He tries a little bit of it anyway, though. He keeps acting like he's expecting a drop in quality, but, well...once again low expectations. But judging by the fact he hasn't thrown it away, it's probably not all that bad. ]

[clearities]

... Really?

[Keith happens to be doing some community service gig when he spots Sakura seated on the bench. Seeing how spaced out she seems though, he merely waves to acknowledge her existence and resumes prettying up the park as ordered by planting some hydrangeas.]

[clearities]

Um... hello. [ She does answer the wave with kind words of her own, it seems. ] Those are really pretty flowers.

[marmoron]

[Keith looks down at the hydrangeas then looks back up at Sakura.]

Are they?

[He's been a little too annoyed by this assignment to be considering aesthetics.]

[clearities]

[ Sakura smiles sweetly, seemingly unbothered by any annoyance on Keith's part. ]

Mmhm. A lot of flowers are actually really beautiful. But hydrangeas are pretty in particular. Then again... I like a lot of flowers.

[marmoron]

That why you're hanging out by yourself in the park?

[To be around pretty flowers or whatever after this whole business with murder and executions went down.]

[clearities]

Mm... not just that. This place reminds me a lot of home.

[streetwolf]

[Wayne doesn't eat ice cream why is he here? But he's just here, staring down at her and hovering.]

I thought you wanted to avoid this place?

[clearities]

I did, but... I thought if I did forever, I wouldn't be able to eat my favorite ice cream flavor.

[streetwolf]

Right, so you're here now... [Why is this so much harder than talking to Millium or the other kids he knows? ...Oh right. Sakura's mostly normal. He kneels slightly, so he's not looking down too much.]

Got any recommendations?

[clearities]

Strawberry's my favorite flavor... but it's just a good flavor for most people, too!

[streetwolf]

Yeah, as in the fruit. Never really had expect in cakes. Thanks. [He's just going to get some. Give him however long it takes to get that and come back. Then he eats a bigger than needed spoonful, before cringing and nearly dropping the spoon.]

You shouldn't eat too much at once like that, you'll get brain freeze...
