WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[if this were literally anyone else, Osomatsu would definitely spook the heck out of them. he's a practical joker by nature! but, given the recent happenings, and the fact that this is Sakura, of all people, Osomatsu's not going to do that.

rather, when he sees her head off towards the graveyard, he follows, because he's worried about her. a little girl should not be going up there alone. right? he keeps a safe distance, hands tucked into his jacket pocket, just to see what she's doing at first]

There's always gonna be someone around in a graveyard. [he tries to make his presence known, but he may end up spooking her anyway because he's coming up from behind. sorry!]

[clearities]

[ Sakura does, in fact, jump a little bit in surprise when she hears the voice, but she soon calms down when she realizes just whose voice it is, sighing in relief. ] I haven't seen any gh-- [...] Um, spirits around, though.

[relieable]

[he apologizes for scaring her before stepping up beside her]

...Is that why you're here? Lookin' for spirits?

[clearities]

Mm. I... [ She does hesitate just a little as she finds herself mulling it over and finally admitting it. ] I saw my mom before, so I thought that maybe, at least here, I'd find someone, maybe. [ But she hasn't. ]

[relieable]

[oh... oh, wait]

You saw... Your mom?

[DON'T TELL HIM SHE'S...]

[clearities]

Yeah. She was trying to warn me something.

[relieable]

...Is... Is your mom... [DEAD] A sp-spirit?

[clearities]

... [ She hesitates, just for a moment before she shakes her head. ] No, she's an angel.

[relieable]

[oh... he stares at her, then looks sad for a moment. so she really is dead. and that makes Osomatsu sad! this poor girl]

Ah, I see. And you were able to see her?

[clearities]

Mmhm. She said she was surprised that I could see her.

[relieable]

Not very many people can see angels! That's really special.

[clearities]

I was really surprised... mom was, too. It's probably because I've gotten really powerful now that I can actually see her. But you think so?

[relieable]

[he thinks so, and he nods]

I'll bet she was really proud of you, too, growin' up so strong.

[clearities]

I think she was, too. [...] Ah, what about your parents, Osomatsu-san? Are they proud of you, too?

[relieable]

[GEH. he shuffles a bit nervously]

W-w-well, they're both... [UH] They love me!

[clearities]

[ And that's enough for Sakura to let it go and just beam right back at him. ] I'm glad. As long as they love you, that's important.

[relieable]

[he hopes that, someday, he will do something that will make his parents proud. but Sakura is also right. as long as they love him...]

Yeah... [a pause as he looks around the graveyard. he sure doesn't see any ghosts here, and he doesn't want to] But, uh, I dunno if it's a good idea to be wandering around here, yanno?

[clearities]

I won't stay here too long. [ She doesn't really want to, since she's a little scared herself. ] I think... there's nobody here, though.

[relieable]

[he'll stay with her, because he doesn't like the idea of Sakura being here alone]

Sure looks that way. [the atmosphere is super dead. haha, best not make that joke aloud] But, hey, maybe that just means the spirits are sleeping.

[clearities]

Or maybe they're all in the sky... I'd usually be able to sense them, too. I don't sense anything.

[relieable]

Is that 'cause you don't have your staff?

[clearities]

I don't need my staff to sense things. I can sense the magic from the others here, still.

[relieable]

[ah... Sakura must be really powerful]

That's amazing. The only thing I can sense is when my brothers are hiding their winnings from me.

[clearities]

[ The plot of Clear Card is that Sakura gets too powerful and accidentally causes trouble, so. Yes. ]

I think that's amazing, too, though! I could never do that.

[relieable]

[he probably shouldn't have said that out loud but... whatever. it's out there, now. and he chuckles]

In any case, I'm glad that a magical girl is on our side. As soon as you get your staff back, you'll have t'see if you're able to use that card.
