The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.
Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.
Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.
It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

[Jughead darts aside to avoid getting fried, and looks to Dabi with a look of panic that slips into a moody anger.]
You always try to set kids on fire when you’re pissed?

[He's uncomfortable, and it shows, and his main instinct is to just run.
But, he stops himself. He can't help but be reminded of FP, even without all other factors, the bottle of bourbon had already condemned him to it, and didn't that man tell him to stop running?]
There are probably better ways to cope.
[Still with a hint of sarcasm in that 'probably', but it carries a more sincere tone than before.]

Oh? Thought it was 'nough that I'm skippin' over my usual method.

[As far as coping mechanisms go, alcohol is down at the bottom as far as Jughead's concerned. He shrugs, hands buried in his jacket, bunching up his frame in his discomfort.]
If this is about Sarge's little...get together earlier, this is probably the kind of thing he'd want.

Oh, I know. Went to see him earlier. Still managed to piss him off anyway.

No offence, but that doesn’t seem like much of an achievement.

Ha. Considerin' the explosive brat managed to scare him—yeah, he's easy.

Maybe if you just spook him with enough pyrotechnics he'll let us go.

[It wasn't a serious suggestion, and there's an amusement that Dabi had considered it as such.]

Might be if we can just figure out what. He wouldn't need all those villain self-help books if he actually knew what the hell he was doin'.

[Give him a moment.]
Seriously?

[ In a matter of speaking, but yes. He sounds amused. ]

[His tone is less accusatory than it is amused.]
