WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[Yeah. Yeah, this shit is definitely important. And there's definitely a reason people are hesitating before doing as told on this one. Lots of good reasons.

But fuck it, he's not leaving Cosmo with the Sergeant. And he's also not going to waste time moralizing with people over this, so...

He'll just jam a wrench between two gears.

This'll definitely buy them enough time to get out and might be easy to fix if someone gets here quick. Right?]

[In a kinder universe, maybe.

In this universe, the wrench is jammed pretty well between the cogs. The machine sputters to a stop, the crude stops flowing in and out. Slowly, the lights everywhere dim a little. The sound of machinery all throughout the building stops.

[And from across the catwalks, there's a rather frustrated man, with several astonished workers behind him, as well as Sakura and Gant. The man steps forward, lifts a hand to his face...

They're leaving, guys. Lambert, Jones, start checking the machine.

[Two of the workers nods and rush towards the machine, examining the insides. It seems Rean has a lot of respect from all these workers]

[Olympia holds her hand in front of the arrow. You're probably better off not asking what she expects this to theoretically accomplish.]

That can change pretty quickly, however.]

He doesn't shoot, he's not thaaaat trigger happy, But he doesn't look away or lower that gun either.]

One wrench is stuck between two gears. Don't waste the time chasing after us and it might be something you can fix quickly.

[Rean seems genuinely relieved. Two of the workers get working on it]
