Week 3 - Trial

Week 3: Trial
April 20th. It was now time for the trial.
When everyone arrives at the trial room, the tribunes are already filled with townspeople. Compared to last week, there's less morbid curiosity and more quiet outrage. Everyone's glaring at the visitors while they enter the courtroom.
The number of podiums draped in black has increased dramatically. Nine's, Mako's, Sandalphon's, and Bakugou's have joined Moloch's, raising the number to five. That's one sixth of the available podiums. How many more will be covered in black velvet before these two months end?
Once everyone is at the right podium, the Sergeant bangs his gavel. He doesn't seem to be in better mood than before.
Without even bothering to taunt or be as antagonistic as usual, he waves the gavel. Five small photos appear on the podiums.

The trial room went completely silent, all the visitors can feel the attentive stares of the townspeople gathered to watch. It's up to them now to find the culprit.
Let the trial begin.

"Today the victim is Katsuki Bakugou. Solve it."
"When it's time, you shall cast your vote. Write it on paper or put the photo inside the slot, I don't really care about how you do it. What matters is that you actually do it. Start your discussion."
[Welcome to the trial! Please remember to cash your votes here!. Your deadline is 8:00 PM EST. Good luck!]

POCKET SEARCH
Can we search the suspect’s pockets? Just to see if there’s anything in them.

[and she's PISSED about it!!! regardless, she empties her pockets out without complaint, although mostly that just involves turning them inside out to reveal that they're empty, and shaking belt pouches upside down over her podium.
she—reaches into a chest pocket, and hesitates, then makes a soft ugh noise before slamming a hair pin about the size of her palm down on her podium like it's offended her. the pin is made of bronze-colored metal but only looks decorative.]

Thanks. It looks like it’s something dear to you.

[defensive???]
It's just some—some stupid thing Sarge left me for the painting incident. I didn't even want it!
[oh my god, clarisse]

[ Lots of Doubt ]
Did you ever talk about what the letter that the Sergeant gave you said?

[she...sounds real matter-of-fact about it, and not like she's having a grand ol' fuckin time at the concept, at least...]

[ after a moment of hesitation, he tilts his head. ]
Wouldn’t it have been easier just to kill one person here?

This place is too full of wildcards. My job as an assassin is to know my target and what they're capable of. Too many of you have these weird powers I don't understand. That includes the dead hothead.
There's a whole network of us back at home. Best of the best. It would have been way easier for us to kill a few people in our way together than for me to deal with all these variables on my own.

[Like Kino saw, he has a lot of clothes and with them, a lot of pockets. But he only seems to have his debt card in them.]
